Born to a well-known family of the Neverhive, Bridgette Trueworth hated the attention that she had as a child because it was the wrong kind. There was nothing physically wrong with her, but her blue fur was an extremely rare genetic trait, and it followed her for her entire life. Her father was a honey crafter in the industrial honeycomb sector of Southtropolis, and her mother was a caterer for the Footlight District of Eastberg, the theatrical core of the Neverhive.

Who Inspired Bridgette?

Her parents never had the time to tend to her needs like they wanted to, but they were always very proud of their daughter, blue furred or not. The only ones who never let Bridgette succumb to self-hatred and depression was her cousin Bebe and their friend Belinda. Bridgette grew curious about what genetic markers would trigger such a mutation, she first wanted to become a geneticist, but she discovered that she had a knack for treating emotional and spiritual problems, so she changed her major and became a therapist.

Unusual Patient Roster

Dr. Beemer has had the great fortune to get to know many Neverhivians from all five cities, but she was always prepared for outsider Neverbeings needing a safe space, so she used her Neverhive Nexus Gem to create a mini pocket dimension in her house where even the tallest humans can fit comfortably and receive therapy. Her more unusual patients are:

• Magnolia the Snow Owl:
  • From a terrible childhood trauma Magnolia spent years trying to grapple with, Dr. Beemer opened her home office with Maggie in mind at first. Magnolia has carried a terrible guilt for 15 of her 19 years of life. From what little is known from her sealed records, Magnolia’s PTSD and depression goes back to one of the darkest times in the island’s history; the two constants being snow and darkness.
• Bramber the Behemoth:
  • These meetings took place in the darkest sections of the Eastern Neverwoods in Bramber’s own cave. T”Bramber refused individual counseling, insisting that Juniper Squirrel and Wilscott Caribou remain present because they were among the few individuals he trusted.”Records show that Bramber, too, was suffering from repressed memories and a terrible tragedy from around the same time as Magnolia’s. No direct cause has been documented
• Winona Wasp:
  • The reason why Winona makes this list is not because she is a foreigner in exile or a girl who bore a terrible loss; these are all validated by Dr. Beemer. The curious thing is that Dr. Beemer had to keep a big secret from Winona, that her combinoft husband was Winona’s mysterious uncle, Duke Benjamin Bee.
• Dajanoten Prime:
  • This meeting came from a direct request by the Neverscape Fairy Queen, Auroralania Faye Sol, Dajanoten’s combinoft wife. The meetings only took place in Neverland Prime and the Neverscape. He and his brother Silver Dart had scattered memory loss from a cataclysmic event known as the Prismatic Divide, a cosmic distortion that split Neverland Prime ad infinitum. The topic that has haunted the two brothers many a sleepless night was the disappearance of their elder half-sister, Lordess Salvashion Sol. This subject was the hardest thing for Birdgette to counsel the Neverlord for, considering that Sal was alive and well in the good doctor’s home Neverzone. Records kept have been sealed as to why Dr. Beemer was embargoed in telling Dajanoten Prime the truth.
• Festival Ferrette:
  • After the Quilliad Mind-control device was extracted from Festival’s hypothalamus, Bridgette and her nephew v’combin Dr. Brainard were charged with helping Festival sort out the few memories she retained from the 30+ Neveryears under mind control and what was manufactured while she was in stasis in her own mind. They did not get very far, thanks to the violent invasion of the Neverscape Palace’s clinic where Festival was kidnapped from.
