True Origins Revealed:

In magical beings, there are coping devices imbedded in one’s heart chamber that are connected to their heart avatar. In times of great crisis, the heart avatar will generate “Drones” of sorts, that are meant to generate lovely dreams when their host sleeps. The creature that would become Elocin was originally meant to be a caregiver when Nicole Jones was suffering from the losses of her mother and sisters; but the negative energy from the utter devastation that Nicole felt, is believed to have overwritten its objectives, gaining sentience and being fueled by Nicole’s self-hatred for what she had done. This would not be uncovered until 6 months after Lexi Jones came from the future, when Nicole would be pulled into her own mind in her sleep. (concept created on 12/28/2023)

Bizarre Twists

The dark reflection and evil opposite of Jones sister Nicole Jones, Elocin (Nicole spelled backwards) was an unseen rancor that was able to grow out of the negative thoughts and actions that Nicole put against herself. Each year, on her birthday, Nicole would retreat into the Catacombs; a series of deep subterranean tunnels that appeared out of nowhere, suspiciously. These expeditions were due to Rebecca Jones being blown up in a gas tanker collision, which would put Bella in a coma while on the cusp of death from her burns. Over time, this dark presence slowly began to build up, but unlike how mental creatures born of light and love slowly grow by passively absorbing bits of mental strength in cooperation with the host, Elocin was able to forcefully take whatever sustenance she needed and still go undetected. This would continue for the next 7 years.

Beyond the Rainbow Veil

After Nicole was reunited with her sisters and Sophie, Nicole was withdrawn and distant at night, going to the playground in Paulsen manor, a few neighborhoods down. One of those nights, Ariella went to pick her up and bring her home for dinner, while trying to find out what this burden Nicole was shouldering, so she could try to heal her. After Nicole revealed her feelings for fellow students Rafe (transgender male) and Gwendy Masterson (a girl), Bella and Esther Jones each tried to intervene. When Nicole learned that Esther was her biological mother, via egg donation, the dark thoughts that would later constitute Elocin, manipulated Nicole’s perspective into thinking that Esther was there to stake her claim to Nicole, and separate her from her true family. Nicole’s resistance to Esther culminated in Nicole inadvertently Neskomfing Esther to death. With help from Bella, Nicole’s true love for her aunt allowed her to travel back through Nulltime and prevent Esther from unfreezing her and telling her the truth. Esther was saved, and Nicole was psionically merged with her past self so that time causality would not cause her to fade out of existence. Esther abided by Nicole’s request to block her memories of this night; but the entirety of everything that Nicole had done, still lingered, and served to feed this dark reflection that was unaffected by the memory blocking spell.

Blue Gene Baby (Sister)

The final piece came into place when a DNA test was performed by Nicole for Mr. Eggerstien’s biology class for an ancestry project. Hoping to make cousin Magda feel that her soul was not poisoned by her blood-connection to a sociopathic killer and a Nazi spy, Nicole expedited the process by pilfering some of Ariella’s pixie dust and using a spell to accelerate and identify those she was related to, a variation of Misty’s time spell. By the time Ariella, Bella, Esther and Robert were told that Nicole had taken this test, it was too late; Nicole’s heart shattered when she saw that her DNA was not a match to Rebecca Jones-Jones, but to Esther Jones. Elocin used all her powers to further block the revelation of Nicole’s memories of Esther’s near-death at her hands, and overwrote her logic center, making Nicole see herself as an unwanted bastard who was the result of her father having an affair with Esther behind Rebecca’s back.

Ariella and Bella tried to comfort Nicole, but they gave away too much of what they knew; that they always were aware that, biologically, Nicole was their half-sister/half-cousin. They tried to explain the true circumstances behind her conception, but the knowledge that her sisters had kept this from her, all of her life, had finally allowed Elocin to take full control, trapping Nicole inside her mind’s heart chamber with her heart avatar. Elocin began to psychologically torment and physically assault the sisters, and just as Elocin predicted, Ariella tried to strangle the malignant entity’s neck, so as to force her to give Nicole back. Nicole was given back control, only to find that Ariella had her hands around Nicole’s windpipe with a look of death in her face. Nicole was traumatized, and the pixie dust from the DNA test had caused her to teleport out of the house, in her grief. Ariella tried to get a bio-read on Nicole and Panscan her emotions, but all she could find was Nicole’s toxic-level emotions, that she was preparing to kill herself.

While Ariella and Bella scrambled the family to find Nicole, Elocin kept Nicole trapped within their shared mind, using a Neskomf barrier as a prison to house Nicole’s fallen spirit (regressing into her 8-year-old form). The plan was to travel through the Catacombs and dispatch Nicole with an overdose of pills, but while Nicole was trying to dig up a special box that was buried in the catacombs, the pills that Elocin made her take with her, dropped into the chasm. So, while all of Nicole’s loved ones scoured Remington Springs, a possessed Nicole got her prescription refilled by claiming she received the wrong pills by mistake, then vanishing as quickly as she came. Needing a rest, “Nicole” came up through a tree entrance in Nimoy park, looking into the reflection of herself, the true Nicole lamented how much she missed her mother, and how she would give anything to be with her again. This triggered another dematerialization just as Nillavan and Misty Jones each tried to make contact in their spider forms.

Nicole found herself beamed to Rebecca’s grave site at Welkerblanc Cemetery, and despite being under Elocin’s lock and key, Nicole was given free reign at this point. After admitting her sins to Rebecca’s gravestone, Nicole tearfully put a lethal dose of the sleeping pills in a bottle of fruit punch, preparing to down the fatal concoction, only for Pan Knight Ariella to put Nicole in a Nulltime Stasis wave right as she took a gulp. Rebecca’s disembodied spirit was hysterical by what Nicole had said to her, and that Nicole could not hear her. Ariella sent a psicon to all search parties to bring an ambulance to the cemetery and converge at their location. Ariella then used her Panflute to psicon-bridge into Nicole’s heart chamber, which was frozen in subzero ice and snow, with Nicole’s heart avatar totally encased. After traveling through the labyrinth of defenses that Elocin had created, Ariella found herself face to face with Nicole, who was being held captive in the aforesaid dungeon.

Ariella tried to open the barrier by force, only for her energy attack to ricochet around her. The only other option was to counter Nicole’s self-hatred was with something that could outweigh her emotional state. She pulled out her dagger and stabbed herself in her torso; Nicole’s explosion of shock shattered the barrier, but Nicole was unable to pull it out of AJ’s side. Nillavan and Esther linked up into Nicole’s mind to restore her self-esteem and boost her spirit, but they were too late to stave off Elocin’s arrival. While Esther kept Elocin busy, Nillavan and Ariella helped Nicole learn the truth, that Esther was indeed her bio mother, but Rebecca was her birth mother. When Nicole finally pieced it together, she tapped into a great power, transforming into a Pan Knight. Elocin’s toxins were ineffective against her host, and the hold that she once had, had dissolved for good. Nicole’s Pan Poison Purge attack destroyed Elocin for good, and the pills she downed were also incinerated before they could reach her stomach.

Aftermath

After Nicole awoke from her exhaustion at AbGen, Esther introduced Nicole to her wife Jillian, and the request that Nicole made to her new mothers resulted in Spencer and Serena moving back to Remington with them. Ariella’s torso permanently retains the scar that she gave herself. Even with the new future awaiting her, Nicole’s guilt continued to linger, and her near-death experience at Rebecca’s grave site gave her terrible panic attacks from PTSD. For the next year, Nicole was randomly triggered by outside elements, and Nicole was given a special medication by Dr. Melbourne. The looming shadow of Elocin’s presence did not completely cease after she was eliminated. A similar case of mental apparitions appeared within Jesse and Sophie’s heart chambers, predicted by Queen Aurora as their Pan Trials. Nicole learned to put the hardships that Elocin put her through, behind her, but never forgot it. To help combat future threats that are similar, Nicole and her slv daughter Kiki discovered a special serum that synthesizes within a slvskorte’s wings. It would later save the lives of both Esther Jones and Molly Jensen, nearly at the cost of Phoenixia Singleton’s life.

What Nicole hid from everyone else, including Kiki, was that the serum was the discovery of a mental apparition calling herself Cinoel Jones; no longer the evil opposite of Nicole, Cinoel was penitent and contrite for everything she did, even knowing that Nicole would never believe this. On paper, Elocin is gone, but Nicole and this dream sprite, who is trying to earn her wings of reformation, are experimenting with an uneasy alliance. While it is not common knowledge, the success of the first Malice Expulsion Wave, that was used on Angeltop Jones when Nicole and Kiki traveled into the past, was in part due to Cinoel’s minor amplification powers in conjunction with Nic-Heart’s aura.
