Unsolved Nevertomes Trivia Page.

Trivia and factoids:

-Even though the Mermaid statue appears in the segment about Giles Morgenstern being snatched from Copenhagen Denmark in 1837, the actual statue was not created until August 23, 1913.

-The music during Jesse’s interview about Giles featured the music and footage from General Hospital’s Endgame as a nod to his “God must love soap operas” line. {It is unknown who the composer was or the name of it, but I do not own this}

Luke Spencer in the maze

-The figure who hosts the episode is the Autobot Ultra Magnus that Robert Stack portrayed in the 1986 Transformers animated movie. Stack was also the original host of Unsolved Mysteries.

-Apart from the Morgensterns in the Schucart’s family tree, there really was a Rivka Sapherseider and a Chiam Shukert (Later renamed Schucart), my actual ancestors.

-The Cybertronian text of the names in the Pyre D’Soliel segment translates into the following: “Othello”, “Grannus”, and “Siobhan”, indicating there was more to her past than she remembered.

-The composite sketch in the Neverscape Alert portion was actually the original design for Mina Elechad’s half-brother Angus O’Shaugnessey.

-Animation for Unsolved Nevertomes came from both Pixabay and www.canva.com.

The light-up skull and spell book were each props that were bought on clearance at Walgreens in November of 2019. Talk about stretching your dollar along with your imagination.

The death scene at the beginning of the video was a restaging of Optimus Prime’s demise in Transformers the Movie.

Also the bots in the next scene were the other victims of Megatron’s attack on the Autobot shuttle and Autobot City itself.

Nods and References:

The name Giles Morgenstern comes from two separate sources. Giles is taken from the Crucible’s Giles Corey, and the last name comes from Sailor Moon Actress Stephanie Morgenstern.

The theme music for Unsolved Mysteries is used in Unsolved Nevertomes, credited in the ending sequence to its original composer.

The deaths of the four voice actors mentioned in the broadcast each were true with certain parallels: Both movies were based off of 1980s television cartoons, two actors died each, and one of the voice actors in each movie had been active since the 1940s: Mel Blanc and Orson Welles.

Both The Shroud of Turin and the disappearance of Amelia Earhart were each celebrated Unsolved Mysteries segments that Robert Stack narrated prior to season 6.

The music from the Nevertomes Mythbuster segment is the bumper music for Transformers G1 cartoons.

The name “Slightly M. Zoiyel” comes regrettably from the name that the original play’s Slightly believed to be: “Slightly Soiled” with the M standing for the mother he would often talk about.

The name Horatio Hardt was in reference to Saban’s VR Troopers character Professor Horatio Hart.
