Queen Beeatrix of the Honeybee Kingdom

ANNOINTED IN LOVE: Seeing that she was more bee than wasp, Queen Beeatrix had a chance to be a part of her niece’s life when those parts of her made her an outcast in her birth hive. So much of her beloved late sister, Belinda, did Queen Beeatrix see in her comely, hybrid niece. Above is the Queen and her daughters, Berna and Bailey, officially activating both Whitney’s and Winona’s Royal Titles as Bee Viscountesses, in spite of them being born in the Wasp Empire.

Background on the Bee Kingdom

Princesses Berna and Bailey, Petalia, and Winona Wasp help Callie see past her physical kraken face, and see taht her true beauty comes from others’ love for her; the kind of love that she gives freely to others, just like Petalia.
The Late Lord Bellmyke Bee, brother of Burton Bee, father of Prince Bryon Bee, Princess Bernadette, and Princess Bailey. Both brothers were combat veterans who served alongside Earl Boston Bee in the Wasp-Hornet War. The inspiration for this character comes from a VOA that I respect, greatly.
Whenever they are together, the four royals are always overtaken by the desire to hug. And when they do, there are no titles; no crowns; no hats; and Winona’s cork for her stinger goes bye-bye. It is not just a great comfort to Winona, to have a stable home; but for Beeatrix and her daughters to feel Winona’s warmth towards them.
LIGHT SLEEPER: As a monarch, Beeatrix (left) considers her own sleep to be unaffordable when she is needed. Awakened on this particular night, by her beautiful daughter Berna, news of a recently-discovered chunk of tainted wasp honey was found in the human village, Beeatrix sprang into action.
AUNTIE-NIECE CHAT: After rescuing her from the Quilliads, Whitney wanted so badly to meet her aunt for the first time, but felt the need to have an excuse to see her. Bartering away the most valuable items she owned at the Nevertribe PX for an impossible burger meal, Whitney’s deception was doomed from the start, but all it did was galvanize how much of Belinda’s heart was a part of her wasp niece, tearfully welcoming her into the family, officially.

Relationship with the Flowers

  • Elder Gertrude Gladdie: The relationship between these two is one of great mutual respect. Gertrude was a dear friend of the former Bee Queen, and always remembers Beeatrix as the same child she used to mentor. Prior to the deaths of her firstborn twins, Beeatrix knew Gertrude as a loving and effervescent flower, which tempered down as the shattered Gertrude became more aloof and disciplined.
  • Gibby and Garnish Gladdie: Gertrude’s aforementioned eldest twins were extremely close with Beeatrix; inarguably were her best friends when she was a larvae. Not a day has gone by that the Queen has not reflected on the wonderful souls the two flowers were; despite Gibby’s flair for the dramatic and gothic.
  • Gardenia Gladdie: As a fellow mother, Gardenia greatly admires the queen as if she were her own sovereign, and was always flustered when, on the extremely rare occasion that the Queen would visit the garden. Without meaning to, Beeatrix always looked at the lovely Gardenia with the saddest of eyes, as Gardenia was only a bulbie when she was friends with her elder sisters.
  • Glifforia Goldenrod: The Elder of the Goldenrod Clan, Beeatrix is acquainted with her through Lady Sal and through her daughters, who had a sweet-tooth for Goldenrod nectar. Glyph, as she is known, is more of an intellectual and philosopher, and passed down her role as breeder to her younger sister Genocia.
  • Tabitha Tulip: Not old enough to be considered an Elder, but is the lone-surviving member of her clan that is the oldest. As far as plant age goes, she is no older than Gardenia, but is already a grandmother via her daughter Trista taking up the mantle of breeder at teenhood. Beeatrix has always made it a point to assign goodwill counselors to Tabitha specifically as a way of giving back for all that her forebears did for the Bee kingdom.
  • Viviana Violet: The second out of two active breeders for the Violet Clan, due to the demand for their abilities with medicinal needs when they are adopted by their combinoft couple as Magtis housewarming flower children. More outgoing that her introverted big sister, Viviana is well-versed in herbal remedies and has offered consultation for every last one of the citizens of her kingdom.
  • Roezalie Rose: Was targeted by the Wasp Empire as an enemy of the state for some unknown reason, Beeatrix was made aware of this through daughter Berna’s resources, and personally intervened on her behalf, with the help of her little sister, Countess Belinda Bee. Under Beeatrix’s advice, Winona brought up the idea of members of the Rose clan to take part in ToxAnon as a way to cope with their thorns being looked upon as threats by outsiders.
  • Fyrefox: One of the few flowers that had the ability to travel anywhere, Fyrefox was an invaluable ally and friend to Beeatrix and the Bee Kingdom at large. A very learned being, Fyrefox was a mentor figure to a great many of her kingdom’s children, especially Berna and Bailey. When Petalia was discovered by Berna and Bailey 4 Nevercycles prior to the present, the Queen had nearly mistaken Petalia for Fyrefox. While she had immeasurable admiration for her mother, Petalia had earned the respect of the Bee Queen on her own merits.
