General Background
Berna and Bailey are quite the antithesis of what would be expected of a pair of bees. Berna is part of the Bumblebee class of bees, while Bailey is a honeybee classification. This is possibly due to different dominant genes, but that is their only major difference from each other. Berna is the gatherer out of the two sisters, as distinguished by her more rotund shape, while Bailey has the ability to make actual honeycombs, but serves as a deliverer and backup for Berna when they are out in the field, and as a fellow honey chef when they are in the royal kitchen, making special reserve label honey from different types of nectar.

Personalities:
As stated, before, the only differences between these two sisters are their specic classifications and ages. The two sisters are always joined at the wing, as sweet as the honey they craft. Gifted with the Neverscapian power of empathy, they are well-attuned to their subjects and their allies and friends, beyond. Even if they were to be driven to anger, they never use their stingers to harm others, they let their vanguard’s lances serve as warnings. Contrary to their animal instincts, Berna and Bailey are very much against violence and aggression; but there have been times when Berna has made a hypocrite out of herself, for the greater good. An example would be when little cousling Winona was framed for poisoning a supply of honey she helped craft, Berna conducted a covert investigation using her own special attache agents as infiltrators. When pushed, Berna will be the one who pushes back, but only in defense of others.
Their relationship with their cousin Winona is more of a sisterly bond, like what they have with Winona’s half-sisters, Billie and Babs, who pleaded with Berna and Bailey to make Winona feel loved in their stead. After the horrible way Winona was exiled from the Wasp hive, using her own twin sister, Whitney, as a hostage to get her to give herself up. Feeling isolated and misunderstood, Winona has had to deal with the fact that there are so few others in your life that you can depend upon, and Berna and Bailey are two of them. She looks up to her cousins for their sheer beauty, grace, charm, and their talent for making honey, which has been a lifelong dream for the spiritual Winona. It was with great pride that they allowed Winona the chance to fulfill her wish, and will continue to give her the chance in the future, when she feels that she is ready to return to their realm.
Physical Attributes
Princess Berna’s girth comes from her interaction with nectar and storing it in her body, and also in part for her taste for the honey she crafts. Bailey, the younger sibling, has a thinner thorax, but has the same appetite for honey and nectar as her sister. Their body shapes are irrelevant in the Bee Kingdom; as both are considered extremely beautiful by bee standards; but they do not see this in themselves, as they would give the beauty crown to their little cousin Winona every time. Like most bees, their eyes are faceted and mute black, with stylized eyelashes. Berna’s marks on her face differ in shape from Bailey’s, with stripes in place of tic marks. Another trait they share is their long tongues, which allows them to suck up nectar and produce honey. To make up for their featureless faces which they inherited from their father, when excited or happy to an extreme degree, their bodies will radiate a neon-blue glow. While this trait is learnable by other bees and hybrids, it comes naturally to Bailey and Berna.
