Celia the Neverspider

STRENGTH FROM MUSES: Though she is incredibly shy of voice, her art is a declaration of love to those she loves: her mentor Della-Kate; her half-sister C’Daka; and her departed parents Wilhelm Hopper and Dextra the Neverspider.
A GENEROUS SPIRIT: More than a designer and a seamstress, Celia was a loving and gentle soul who loved those she loved with all of her heart and soul. In every single item she ever crafted, she always gave a piece of herself, the best parts of her, to that item’s owner. Her passion project was Petalia’s blankie, made from her special Blue Moon Silk. Her true intention for that project was to give Petalia something to call her own, and to sleep warmly on cold nights. For Petalia, it was a perpetual hug that staved off the cold; she could literally feel Celia’s love in those glowing strands.
Grace, beauty, charm, elegance, shyness, altruism; these are qualities that young Celia inherited from her mother, Dextra; as well as cultivating a love for the color blue.
“HOLD THAT POSE, KIDS”: Many years prior to 20XX ET, Celia and her mother would always meet up with Festival Ferrette’s bridge club. This particular time Celia could not help herself, the collective cuteness of little Demuria and her future beau were too muse-worthy to ignore.

Appearence and Physical Attributes

Winona and Celia bonded over the latter’s newfound energy; with Winona helping her new friend out in whatever ways she could, save for watching the meek and docile spider throw caution to the wind and bungee jump off the roof of her building.

Personality Traits:

RENEWED ENERGY: Celia is master of her crafts, never without inspiration and purpose for her endeavors: her sister, C’Daka, and her dear friend, Petalia. Knowing how much Petalia loved the special blankie, Celia’s pre-cognizance compelled her to craft a mate for it.
PETALIA’S CHOICE: When she learned what having that special blankie cost its creator, Petalia was not about to let another nanosecond go by with Celia at death’s door. While Laddie was in shock, Cello and Bramber tried to stop her from plucking out a live leaf — akin to the pain of chopping off an appendage— the guilt-consumed Petalia feverishly bound them with her other petals so that they could not intervene. And the result? Look down below.
TEARS OF LOVE FOR WHO I MISS, SO SHALL I MEND HER WOUND WITH THIS: The distraught Petalia tearfully handed the petal to her mother-figure, Cello, to “atone” for sins that were not even hers to bear the burden of. The bombastic Bramber, himself, was reduced to tears, and would later apply a special fruit’s milk to heal Petalia’s pain while she slept. Little did they know that one other witness had “seen” this heroic feat: Gloria the Gladdie, via her psicon pipeline.

Artistic Media

THE ONE WALL WITH MANY DOORS: Her main premonitions were about her “bunny” sister Jennifer; but she was able to see Princess Stari, Leah Morgenstern, SlinkerBell of the Silverspice Neverzone, Siobhan and her son Grannus. In the bottom left corner is the original concept art for Petalia’s Wish. Also, apparently, she is a fan of Transformers as well.

Relationships:

Cello Hopper-DeScorch: As stated previously, where Cello and Celia are to each other on the family tree is irrelevant, as they both are closer than sisters. It was never Celia’s duty to care for her cousins as much as she does, but she has taken it upon herself to care for her just as their mothers cared for each other, and Cello gives loyalty as good as she gets; and she never goes at it with less than her all. Cello was there for Celia when she lost her father and mother, and Celia has stuck by Cello during the worst times of her life, even if she was not able to get through to Cello after the loss of her father and her mentors. Celia has come to realize that she was never meant to heal her in that one regard; it was Cello’s destiny to find and rescue Fyrefox’s seedling daughter Petalia; and Celia has played the role of silent godmother for the little sprout. Cello used to feel guilty for how little her big brother Strat thought of himself, but Celia has proven equal to the occasion by getting through to Strat; convincing him that his passion may be music, but it is not his truest of passions.

Celia had the power to make Magnolia feel good about herself even in the worst of circumstances. This skirt you see is Celia helping give the young owl her confidence back after losing her tail feathers in a tar puddle. Since then, Celia was a mother figure to Maggie, and loved as much.

Magnolia Sol the Snow Owl: Celia does not have that much time with Maggie by herself, but neither of them goes a day without feeling the warmth that they have for each other; and it is their shared bonds with mutual friends that drives it across whenever they can’t. When Magnolia had her bout with Avian flu, Celia and Cello helped Juniper and the Mousettes do everything they could to make her comfortable and find a cure. Even if it is something as simple as making a needlepoint of love, Magnolia has but to look at the tears that come out of the bespectacled spider’s eyes to see that Celia’s heart breaks for the fledgling owlette. Among the things they share is their love for Petalia and their friends, and neither is shy about protecting her.

Petalia and Gloria: A fragile flower with frightening fortitude, Petalia has had a stranglehold over Celia’s heart ever since she was a sprout. Cello’s saving Petalia’s life had a domino effect, and one of the results was an intrinsic desire to help nurture Cello’s surrogate secret daughter, even from afar. Celia’s congenital heart defect kept her from traveling outside of her apartment, but her creations were extensions of her love; the most special of which was Petalia and Gloria’s Blue Moon Silk Blankies. Gloria grew up knowing the arts that Celia greatly contributed to, inadvertently making a name for herself in the world of culture. The two flower girls’ desires to do good and help others all stemmed from Celia’s generosity and kindness; which resulted in Petalia’s most careless action yet: to pluck one of her own live petals so that Cello and Laddie could make a tea that would nourish Celia back to health; curing her heart defect in the process.

Relocating to Petra’s Neverzone:

Meeting Jennifer

DREAMING OF THE DAY: Celia finally comes face to face with the new vessel of C’Daka’s spirit. While Jennifer was dysphoric of her past life as a spider, she was instantly smitten with her elder half-sister who, fortunately, had the power to change her body size to suit a proper sisterly hug.

Musical Group

HOW MANY LEGS DOES IT TAKE TO CARRY A TUNE? Celia, being a fellow artist, knows talent when she sees (or hears it) Her love for her cousin Cello and their new family, the Jones-Elechad clan, was what gave Echochime and Lyra the initiative to join forces with Cello. While Celia thinks little of her own contributions to the group, they are not complete without their favorite spider gal pal. It was Celia and Strat that designed the cover art for their first album.

I’m Jeff

Hello and thank you for visiting the Seventh Ocean, a world of wonder, love, and magic. My characters are mystical creatures of magic known as Neverbeings, based in part on the tertiary levels of the lore of both Peter Pan and Dick Tracy. I have recently stepped into 3D printing and have incorporated my characters into my creations. Please, if you like what you see, leave me your feedback. What character do you like best? I also offer commissioned art upon request. Visit my DeviantArt page to view more.
