A loyal friend and confidante, Felidiae is a tough-as-nails fighter and a silken-smooth lover and friend. Felidiae does not have to try hard to be brave, as there is little that scares her; it is the sacrifices that she has had to make that sting her. Evolved from earthean birds from Australia, Felidiae has a thick Aussie accent and a fine appreciation for the culture, often confused at times what is stereotypical and what is not; so, she keeps the emphasis to a minimum (no alligator teeth on her hat or saying “shrimp on the barby”, as she prefers non-Neverscapian earth shrimp that has been fried, the one exception to her vegetarianism.
Felidia was in love with the slightly younger snake boy Ross, having sensed his kind heart through her own natural powers of empathy. Even when she was nearly poisoned to death by accident, she still wanted to be with him. Felidiae is extremely overprotective of those she cares about — a trait she shares with best friend Juniper (see below), particularly about Petalia and Magnolia. Of course, Felidiae’s reasons with Magnolia are a little closer to home, as Felidiae is a member of her biological family from before they were separated from each other.

Personality and Appearance:
As a bird of prey, she only unsheathes her talons when called for, but she is as soft of heart as a pillow of velvet, and that’s what her friends and lovers see in her, first and foremost. When Felidiae finds someone she cares about, someone that she can trust, she goes all-in with her fullest of hearts, as was the case with Ross. Felidiae’s strong intuition goes wing-and-claw with her Neverscapian powers of empathy, which told her everything she needed to know since the first moment they met. Felidiae is not afraid to stand out or be different, so long as it feels right to her. Despite her status as a predatory avian, she goes by the Neverscapian code of vegetarianism, something she never expected to find in a rattlesnake. While she is reserved and collected most of the time, she is not afraid to take risks, and was against Ross ever taking a gamble with his own life just to keep her safe, via devenomization. Openly bisexual, Felidiae has never hidden how she feels about those she is in love with. Ross and Chase are indeed her truest loves, and it’s because of this devotion that Chase has come to embrace Ross and Dainty as a special part of her life as well.
Felidiae’s coloring is of a light brown with blackish-blue eyes, black upper beak, yellow lower beak, and almost always wears an Australian fedora on her head and a blue bandana. Before she combined with Chase the Road Runner, Felidiae almost never wore her brown boots that she is seldom seen without now. Depending on how she feels, she will dress romantically and seductively at night in a teddy or lingerie.
Courting Ross the Rattler
Felidiae met Ross by accident when she blindly landed on him with her talons near a fruit grove in the Neverwoods. The encounter jostled the cold Ross through the ground, accidentally piercing the ceiling of the vast biodome underneath the surface of the island. Not allowing harm to come to him twice, Felidiae zoomed through a secret entrance and caught Ross, midflight, before he fell far. Understandably, the encounter made Ross faint, so she flew him to her lair in the underground, waiting for him to awaken. When he finally came to, Felidiae asked her new friend how he was feeling, having plucked his name from his mind via her empathy powers. Ross was terrified of the unfamiliar surroundings, and of Felidiae, too, but she pleaded with Ross to let her help him heal. For a whole week, she oversaw his physical and nutritional therapy, telling a little white lie about his need to be there for more than two days by her estimate. The final night of the week saw Felidiae preparing a special dinner of waffles and fruits with a very romantic setting. When Ross slithered in, he was in shock, and her first words to him were, “Hey there, cute-stuff.” This made little sense to Ross; he was at least five Neveryears younger than her; of a different species; and was deadly of toxin. Felidiae didn’t care about any of that. She was in love with him, and she would not have taken such a chance if she did not know how he felt about her, subconsciously.

Ross and Felidiae looked into each other’s eyes, and he realized that this was right, somehow; and that he truly felt those same feelings for her. They started their road to combinofthood with this special dinner, and it felt like heaven; at least until Felidiae tried to kiss Ross. It was not that he didn’t want her to kiss him; he was scared to death that his fangs would inject her with his toxins. Felidiae, being the cooler head of the two, gently coached him through his anxiety; a few deep breaths and he would be able to focus hard enough to keep his fangs under his control. Sure enough, they shared their first kiss, and began their first night of cohabitation.
Fearing what others might think, Ross asked that their circle be small for the time being. Felidiae agreed to this because she knew that Juniper Squirrel, her gal-pal, would not understand, and was very wary of the Serpent population. For the next four Neveryears, Felidiae and Ross grew closer and more madly in love. They would go on picnics together, exploring, and learning how to play Yu-Bee-Go. Whatever it was they did, they always had a good time. Even the times when they have had terrible experiences, they still made it through because even those times were precious to them. During this time, Ross had suffered through terrible, non-linear nightmares that served as an omen of what could happen to Felidiae because of his toxicity. He tried to convince her that he would need to keep her safe by undergoing devonimization; this was the one thing that Felidiae would ever refuse his opinion of. She did not care about the risks to her, only the risks to him if he underwent that procedure. For two Neveryears, Ross and Felidiae prepared for the night of the Auroras, the most romantic cosmic spectacle in the night sky.
Night of the Auroras
Everything was set up, right down to the smallest detail, at their chosen spot atop the Neverfalls. Binoculars, gummi worms, and the best view; the night went off without a hitch for the first ten minutes. Both lovers even thought alike, as they both reached into the paper bag of gummi worms in the pitch dark night, and Ross’s fangs accidentally stabbed Felidiae’s wing, injecting lethal poison into her bloodstream. In the exact instant he realized what he did, Ross screamed for help as the venom began to take effect. His shrieks were intercepted by Tetrazin Sol, slvskorte of Lady Sal of the Nevertribe, and they were fayported to the Black Forest, north of the Nevertribe’s village on the mountain. In the dark clinic, Lady Galatea and Prince Silver Dart began the protocols for snake poison. For a grueling four hours, Ross stood by and gave comfort to Felidiae while begging for Lady Galatea to use his own venom to create an anti-toxin. It worked like a charm: Felidiae’s body was fully healed, but her glee did not last when she saw that Ross had slipped out of the clinic amid the darkness, exiling himself for what he did.
It took three weeks, but a despondent Felidiae finally found Ross in the desert, west of Serpent Canyon, hiding in a hole in the ground. He had prepared for this situation, and gave her a balloon and a gift box containing a gold ring made of pixian gold. Felidiae did not accept these tokens, pleading with Ross to forgive himself for what happened. Ross refused. He loved Felidiae as much as she did him, and that was why he pleaded with her to set herself free, and to be with someone who would never put her at risk again, hence the gold ring. Felidiae took the balloon, but she purposely left the ring behind as a gesture to show Ross that he deserved to be loved just as much as she did, and that her love for him would never die.
A few weeks passed, and Felidiae could sense that Ross had become agoraphobic as a result of being in that same hole for as long as he did, grappling with the constant thoughts that repeated in his mind about everything that happened. Felidiae had, in the meantime, taken up with her former crush, Charity Road-Runner, a.k.a., Chase. Chase was so giddy to have Felidiae open up to her and become her girlfriend, she asked Felidiae if there was anything she could do for her. Oddly enough, Chase was willing to deliver on her request. Felidiae had spoken with Lady Sal about committing Ross into the Nevertribe’s care, as he was getting more isolated and terrified. Chase’s job was to extract Ross from that hole in the desert and bring him back to the biodome without him putting up a fight. Lo and behold, Chase was able to deliver within three-fourths of a second, making Ross believe he was teleported there. Ross recoiled at seeing Felidiae again, and then he realized she had an injunction for treatment, which was a right she had gained from spending three Neveryears’ cohabitation with him. Ross reluctantly agreed to get help from Lady Sal, but he insisted that he go through with the devenomization. Felidiae still disagreed with it, but she realized it was the only way to cure his agoraphobia, and was happy to hear Lady Sal grant the request, slated for a month after. While Chase was unable to forgive Ross for breaking Felidiae’s heart, Felidiae urged her to not judge Ross harshly for putting her needs above his own. This gave new perspective to the energetic and eager Charity; for as quick as she could run on land, she was just as quick to admit her error. To this day, all Felidiae and Chase see when they look at Dainty and Ross is the culmination of fate and the dearest of friends.
Present Day
Felidiae and Chase have taken the Oath of Combination together, and have lived with each other for awhile now. Because Chase was put on active duty in the FaeForces, Felidiae will often spend a few nights alone every month. She serves as a sentry for the Nevertribe and the Avian Order, whose headquarters was the Great Oasis at the center of the island. Juniper Squirrel and her combinoft Wilscott have a bi-weekly poker night, with Felidiae teaming up with dear friend Celia the Spider. Ross and Dainty have also taken their Oaths of Combination, but as Felidiae had sworn, she still loved Ross, and now considered both him and Dainty to be family to her and Chase. During the Quilliad Offensive of 20XX, Ross and Felidiae worked in tandem with Echochime Jones and other teams to rout the menace of the Qulliad Forces, relying on both the quicksand of Serpent Canyon and Ross’s elder half-brothers to put the fear of the Neverlords in them to induce them to talk. During the rescue mission on that same night, Ross and Felidiae worked together with Echochime, the Mousette Family, and Spencer and Mina to extract Queen Beeatrix and Earl Boston from the threat of Elder Enid and the Golem. The Petaliaverse Neverzone has become a little more lonelier now that little cousin Magnolia has moved to the Petraverse Neverzone with Petalia, Cello, Laddie, and Celia; so Felidiae has asked to become a full-timer in ToxAnon and ToxAnon Beta.
