Appearance and Personality
As disarming as her sultry stare is, her true beauty shines in her gentle kindness that she is named for. Her hair is mixed shades of yellow and orange; she has a cute red nose, beauty mark on her right cheek, buxom and slender of figure, wears cargo shorts and a lazuli pendent around her neck. The most unexplainable trait of hers (to some, at least) is her raccoon tail that she inherited from her father, an irregularity in Neverbeings of hybrid varieties to have more than one of a species trait. In memorial to her childhood hero, Solin Fyre, she wears a pink arm sleeve. Her eyes are a deep blue, much smaller than her daughters’, though.
Della was born to listen, and that is what she always did when she was not teaching. She heard the problems of not only her family and friends, but also of her students and their friends. Her love for her children rivals so many in the Petaliaverse and the Great Myriad, and was devastated when she discovered that her twin daughters, Felicia and Fiona, were stillborn (never learning the truth that an outside force had replaced them with doppelclones to make them appear dead so they could be put on the adoption black market). While her love for Ferrina and Stardancer never died, she poured all of her heart into her remaining three children she would have: Demuria, Dainty, and Dane.
Saving a Heyward

Normally a reserved individual, Della never allowed herself to get too emotionally involved when it came to her students; the exception being when her best student Art Heyward was on the verge of suicide from severe dismorphia. Arturo was pressured to keep painting, as they were very gifted; but Art was extremely miserable as they were. Art’s brain was female, and so was their soul; but like their slvsinoft Rachel, they were born the wrong gender. Contrary to what has been documented, it was not the barkeep who reached out to LeSabre Heyward, Art’s cousling; Della-Kate was the one who sent for him to intervene. Covertly, Della made a request to Dean Featherquill to grant her an audience with Queen Aurora concerning Arturo’s condition. Following Art’s completion of the conversion to becoming a female, Eve never lost touch with, or forgot about her mentor who loved her no matter what light she was cast in.
Children

Demuria Noctournia Mousette-Bee: Her eldest child, Demuria was born to Della-Kate and her combinoft Foster J. Ferrette, with the infant inheriting her coloring from her father. Demuria was very close with her mother, and is one of the few who are aware that Della’s spirit resides on the Star Polaris. By her combination with the Bee Count, Baxter, Demuria would pass down Della’s chimera gene to 8 comely children.

Ferrina and Stardancer Ferrette: A couple of sweetie-pies who easily brighten the hearts of those around them. For most of their lives, they had no idea that they were victims of a black-market adoption kidnapping, to their father’s sister, no less. Stardancer resides in the Silverspice Neverzone with her combinoft Monica Mongoose while Ferri moved to Earth from the Neverscape. It was only recently that Ferri learned the truth about Della being their mother, never mind having mouse sisters; it’s unknown when Stardancer will be told.

Dainty Mousette-Rattler: Della’s second mouse daughter, Dainty was an energetic and fun-loving kid with a kind heart. A very studious student under the tutelage of Princess Snow Tiger Sol and Fyrefox. Her best friends were Cello Hopper and distant cousin Juniper Squirrel. Dainty’s extremely unlikely pairing with a devenomed rattlesnake was a shock for all of their inner-circle, but it was something that Della would have been proud of her daughter for.

Whisper Mousette-Ratte: A hybrid mouse-rat, just like her full-sister Dainty, teenager Whisper is a girl who likes to get her paws dirty with clay, and is never seen without her thick 3-D glasses. The baby of the family, Whisper inherited their mother’s penchant for art and odd colored hair. No matter what she does, she makes her big brothers and big sisters proud.

Dane the Weasel: The only son born of Della, from a liaison with an old lover, Dorian. Della had hoped to nurture his gifts for art, but the kid was a natural at Neverball. Dane’s skills with a bat and ball did make her proud, though. When Della died, he went overtime with practice, so as to not have any time to feel the pain that would eventually catch up with him. It was Dainty and Demuria’s love that would get him through his grieving period.
Loves of her life

Foster Ferrette: A sable ferret by species, his ebon coloring was where Demuria inherited hers from. A hopeless romantic, Foster had wanted to give his combinoft and daughters the world, and he was rich enough that he could have; if that was what they truly wanted. The Ferrette family had strong ties to the Zetascapian Royals, and it was those connections that led to their fortune and status. The Lazuli pendent that Della wears around her neck and the Tiger’s eye crystal around Demuria’s; they are sister-gems to the ones that adorn the ring on Jesse Schucart’s finger and the lazuli necklace that Stavros Oz was given by his adoptive son Felipe. Foster, being an avid jewel enthusiast, could track gems back to their furthest source and see their significance. Nillavan would have not remembered this, but it was her cousling Ferrina’s father that was her first mentor in geology when she was still in magic school. Like with their counterparts, those gems carry the best of Foster’s spirit like they do Ariella and Felipe’s respective spirits.

Dorian the Weasel: Dorian, despite his species, is a creature whose name was not to be taken at face value to his soul. Dorian was a traveler who was searching for love and purpose, and for about three Neveryears, it was Della. No one has heard from Dorian after that; but there is a buzz going around that an informant with vast intel as to the Cult of the Fire Sepents has surfaced in the ranks of the ZSF, and while Agent Fireshy has not said one way or another; this witness appears to be Dorian, which could explain his willingness to take such risks to expose the Cult’s dealings, as they were the ones who made his true love, Della, believe that her daughters Felicia and Fiona were struck with SIDS.

Reginald Ruperto Ratte: LIke with romantic rival Dorian, Reggie is a member of a species that is painted with a dirty brush (rat, weasel, etc.) Anyone outside of the Great Myriad would just assume, from his species and surname, that Reggie was an untrustworthy and opportunistic schemer, swindler, or the like; but nothing could be further from the truth. Slovenly as he was when it came to his appearance when at home, as his whole world was his canvas, Reggie was a very loving and nurturing man who adored his family, dearly, and still does. Even though he still grieves for Della, everyone has encouraged him to make a life with his second combinoft Gina the Gerbil. A bohemian at heart, Reggie has no want of, or use, for treasures, money, or power. No, actually, that’s not entirely accurate: love is his most valuable treasure; his daughters Whisper and Dainty, and stepchildren via both Gina and Della — Reggie would give anything and everything if it meant keeping them safe and happy. It was this spirit that stepdaughter Ferrina could sense about him; the traits that Dainty inherited from both him and Della, that opened her and her adoptive family to the rodent patriarch.
