Personality Traits:
One would think that living a life of ridicule and ire from most of the fae in her community would have turned Callie into a loner, but such is not the case. As the youngest of the couslings of her generation, Callie is the core of the Jones slvs; bringing out the best in all of them without even trying. Callie is a very cautious and soft-spoken fae who, naturally, has trust issues with those outside of her inner circle. Prior to 7YB 20XX, Callie was extremely meek and dysphoric; believing herself to be ugly and repellent. The one being in the entire cosmos who would have the best chance at proving this misnomer to be false was allowed the opportunity, after the deaths of her parents; Serena, Callie’s Slvsinoft.
Callie is extremely loyal and attached to her couslings and family; those who make Callie feel the way she is meant to feel — worthwhile; vivacious; self-compassionate. These traits, however, are extremely conditional with Callie. When she is sad or alone, those three traits, and the ones associated with them, vanish instantly. But, even when she doesn’t mean to, Callie proves her integrity and selflessness, time and time again. Example: Under the Neverscapian Parliament’s laws, Callie would technically qualify as disabled when it comes to active duty with the Faeforces, but has never let Queen Aurora document her as such, since Aurora has often denied deferments for cases greater than Callie’s. This stems from her loyalty to the Neverscapian Monarch, as her granddaughter — to preserve the Queen’s integrity and optics.
Even though their personalities are completely opposite in certain aspects, Callie and Echochime are one of the greatest and ideal example of slv sisters. Echochime has always been Callie’s protector and advocate. Oddly enough, Echochime is less like Spencer and more like Serena, by bloodying her fists in defense of Callie and those that they love. Callie’s passive and cautious attitude are a trait that she shares with Spencer, her uncle. Anyone who hurls insults at Callie behind her back, had better have good dental insurance, because Callie’s family (including Sunrise Jensen, who was once her worst bully) will do anything — and I do mean ANYTHING (short of breaking Neverscapian Law) to make them sorry for even thinking a word against her. Callie does not wish this to happen in her name; so it is conflictive that her loved ones would lower themselves to hypocrisy; but, then again, Callie has that exact same Jones-protective potential, and will use it when necessary.
Physical Attributes
No one is able to properly explain how it happens, but there are times when the laugh of a creative-minded newborn child is so love-filled that it can actually create hybrid fae offspring; often generating half-fae/half animal slvskorn, but Callie is a special case. Baby Serena Jones was so bubbly and peppy when she was born, combined with a special untapped fae power she was born with that had to do with her eyes covered by bangs of red hair, created the first known case of a delta-hybrid fae, bordering on the line of mutagenic. Despite having no human limbs, Callie can hold and carry objects with her tentacles, and can traverse both the sky and land with her combination of mermaid tail and retractable fae wings. Apart from hairstyle, Callie’s facial resemblance to her slvsinoft is uncanny, possessing the same Titania’s Kiss marks as Serena, red hair, blue eyes, and shy voice.
Hidden beneath her angelic exterior, however, is a bitter point of contention for poor Callie. Due to the nature of her chimera DNA (a recessive gene from ancestress Queen Ravenalania Faye) her human face was only partially developed enough to be directly linked to her soul via soulprint, but was unable to mature past a mirage vision. The face she apparently has is that of a kraken (see below) leaving her human torso untouched. Callie’s true face is deeply hidden by layers and layers of unbridled love and affection from the Jones/Elechad families and Team Panfan.

Relationships with others
Callie is the youngest of the fae of her generation, and is protected by her siblings and cousins as such, despite being capable of caring for herself. The key area where her family steps in is when –and, sadly, this does happen, far-far-far too often — when Callie is bullied and teased by other slvskorn fae. Due to keeping their relations to the Lords of the Neverscape secret for their own privacy, bullies are unaware that their target is a Neverscape royal, or otherwise they would not have the gall to do so. Those that she does love, she cherishes all the more because there is never a doubt of them being genuine. And it is that love that allows her to be seen as the way she wishes to be.
Misty: As the eldest of their generation, Misty is one of her most staunch supporters, and takes great pride in Callie’s accomplishments. Misty is what most would call a silent worrier because she feels that it is not her place to step in when Echochime is closer in relation to her.
Nillavan: Being the jewel-smith of the family, Nillavan crafts many pendents, broaches, necklaces, and bracelets, and she always asks Callie to pose for her with the finished product. Callie never passes up the opportunity because she admires Nillavan’s creativity, but the sad truth that Nillavan has only recently learned from Echochime is that Callie’s lack of self-esteem seems to create an environment where she is admired for something by wearing shimmering jewels. Hearing this broke Nillavan’s heart in shards, and since then has asked Callie to instead aid in designing settings, which Callie has quite a knack for. 7 years prior to the present day, Nillavan purposely went an entire month with a mermaid tail (a luck-of-the-draw temporary mutation which was meant as a punishment for those who disrespected Callie — or have a fish head, eel tentacle, octopus tentacle, or a variation of both), as a symbol of her love and unity for her baby cousin. Nillavan is one of the many who has been quoted as saying, “Calliepop, you are truly the most beautiful of all of us.”
Kiki: Only a few months older than Callie, Kiki is Callie’s go-to for a good time. Kiki has had to witness their peers at magic school torture and belittle poor Callie, and has covertly given the bullies their just desserts when assisting Echochime with payback against them. Where Kiki is a doer, Callie is always a daydreamer, and both have had to help each other find an equal balance between those traits. Whenever Callie is depressed, Kiki is the first to try to cheer her up, and inversely, Callie goes to great lengths to give back to Kiki during times of crisis. Each adorned with red hair, both consider themselves to be twins, just like their mothers; but it is a lot harder for them to pull off a switcheroo like they can. Kiki’s powers are geared towards fruit seed germination, growth, and harvesting, and a natural appeal to mammalian Neverbeings; but Callie and Nickel are two of the kinds that she would normally be unable to affect, which makes their bonds all the more special.
Lunaclipse: A part of the same age bracket as Callie and Kiki, Tabitha Rosa — as she was called — was as close with her two cousins as their mothers had been; but something happened to make Tabitha go over the edge: the accidental Neskomf poisoning of her elder sister (cousling) Jade. Ever since that time, Callie has mourned both Jade and Tabitha, believing that Luna was truthful about hating slvskortes who loved their parents. After Jade was resurrected on Halloween of 20XX, Lunaclipse still was a loner, or at least it seemed that way. All of Tabitha’s bridges were burnt by her acts of hatred and anger; all accept for two: Serena and Callie. Out of all the fae in the cosmos, Callie is the best chance that Lunaclipse has to recover her shattered relationships with Team Panfan and their slvskortes.
Echochime: Ever since Callie was born, Echochime has taken on the role of mother hen and protector for her kid sister. Echochime often forgets how strong Callie truly is on the inside and that she would never stoop to the levels of revenge and payback that Echo and the others do. Echochime loves Callie more than anything and would get into physical altercations with those who would dishonor Callie behind her back or to her face. The biggest offender was their family’s archenemy Phoenixia and her combinoft Percusshawn. Callie is technically disabled because of her physical attributes, but Echochime has asserted Callie to never quit; never say it’s over. For Callie, Echochime is the one that she trusts above all others; and Echochime works every day of her life to stay worthy of that title.
Queen Aurora: As the Neverscapian Lord and as a grandmother, Aurora has had to grapple against personal biases and what is proper in order to do what is best for everyfae. Aurora loves her children and grandchildren more than anything, and is willing to compromise her integrity and morals if it meant doing what was best for them, but especially for Callie. Since all slvskorn who are of children who believe in magic, they are conscripted for faemanitarian missions throughout the Great Myriad. Because she feared for Callie’s safety and self-respect, she once tried to apply Callie for the disabled list, to keep her from being required to serve. Callie, however, chastised Aurora for this; that there have been more deserving fae who had to have been declined for that list. Callie was always willing to do her part, and Aurora has never forgotten this act of bravery and selflessness from Callie. Years later, Aurora pulled strings to have Echochime and Callie meet their slvsinofts earlier than they were supposed to (Age 13) when Randy Jones died; granting both Callie and Echochime a chance to help them in ways their Aunt Esther couldn’t.
Serena: If the pattern above is any indication, Serena is madly in love (figuratively) with her slvskorte daughter and has been since the day they met. Like with Echochime, Serena is the one that Callie can trust above all else and anyone else. Throughout her early development, Callie has been bullied and called every name in the book, and that has always nicked away at her sense of self-worth. Her first question to Serena after they first met was “Mama, am I ugly?” Serena was shattered upon hearing this, and it reminded her of when other kids teased her for her eye-covering bangs and odd behaviors. Unknown to Callie, Serena’s eyes were able to see past the love barriers around Callie’s spectral face, seeing the Cthulhu-like facial features of her slvskorte, but it had not affected Serena’s love for Callie in any way; if anything, Serena was astounded, due to her love of H.P. Lovecraft and unusual things. Serena is Echochime’s partner in crime when it comes to payback, but the need for such behaviors has long since been dissipated. Callie has been there for Serena whenever she was able to be, and for the times that she wasn’t, she always sent her thoughts and heart-pulses out through the stars to Serena.
Sunrise Jensen-Jones: Out of all the fae that she has ever interacted with, the fae, once known as Phoenixia, was the most tumultuous and trying of all. Because of her own early-stage traumas, Nixie cut herself off from other fae, setting herself up as a social alpha (mean girl) and forming cliques of like-minded rebellious fae. Whenever she had a chance, Phoenixia took her distain for humans and fae who love their slvsinofts out on Callie, being the central bully and enemy of sweet Callie. The event that changed Phoenixia from within was when a human named Molly Jensen read a letter that was written for her by her birth mother, explaining why she had to be given up for adoption. The love in that letter was enough to unfreeze the heart that Nixie had suppressed, causing her to try to repent for her past behavior; waiting in line to have her bed fixed without a fuss, paying Nillavan thrice her charge and donating significant amounts to the Solin Sly Foundation, among other things. Despite this, no one besides Callie believed in her sincerity. After Queen Aurora accused Nixie of lying about her favorite vase being broken, Nixie backstopped and decided that she was just meant to be miserable. Callie tried to get to the root of why Nixie was why she was, wanting to help her. She would get her chance when, at a special engagement party at the palace, Molly Jensen, revealed to be the time flung blood daughter of Esther, brought a dying Nixie into the main dining hall, pleading for help. What had happened was that Nixie had hit rock bottom with her anger and lashed out at Molly when she claimed to be her mother, resulting in her being Neskomfed, slowly. After Nixie sliced off her own wings in order to save Molly’s life, the former expected to bleed to death, but the other fae who were in the palace for Natasha and Cinna’s engagement party each donated a piece of their own wings to create a new set for her. Callie’s soulprint stood out the most because she had donated 30% more than the others (due to her being able to travel faster underwater). When Nixie woke up, she had seen the light of love, thanks to the wing tissue donors, and especially because of both Molly and Callie. More than that, Callie has brought out the true nature of Phoenixia’s heart in a way that Molly was unable to — the fiercely-loyal and protective, caring and loving side of her that nearly came too late when Molly was dying of Neskomf poison. Like her little cousin, Phoenixia hated herself for all that she had done, but even then, Callie’s warmth allowed her to feel the impossible— that she was worthy of their family’s love and affection, and she intended to prove it by picking a brighter name for herself, one that was almost was lovely as Callie’s: Sunrise. When Callie was bombarded by her worst fear while in a picnic with Sunrise and their boyfriends, Sunrise worked in tandem with Echochime, Serena, Petalia, and Gloria to prove to Callie her true beauty is found in BOTH of her faces, not just in her human face. This deed galvanized her friendship with not only Callie, but Echochime as well; the last traces of their animosity towards each other had vanished forever.
Jim: Callie has known for years that her mother carried a mighty torch for the Marsden twin named James, ever since they were in grade school. In the present day, the two are now a couple, and as such, Callie has the daddy she always wanted. Despite this, she was scared to get attached to Jim at first, not calling him “daddy” like the others did with their mothers’ sigoths. It was not because of Jim himself, it was the experiences that Callie had to endure with human-hating fae who bullied her. Six months after they got together, Jim gave Callie a special gift of her own: a golden dolphin necklace with a small diamond in it to symbolize the heart both Callie and Rini stole from him. In tears, Callie retroactively embraced Jim as her father. During the encounter with the asian woman who claimed she was Jim’s and Twi’s half-sister, Callie and Tennin each devoted their time to helping Jim come to terms with the possibility that her story was true.
Tennin: A late-entry into the Jones Family, Ten is the first laugh of Jim Hu-Marsden as an infant. Callie was ecstatic that she was finally meeting the giggle child that came from her father. Ten strongly resembles Twi more than she does Jim, but in spirit, she is the same as Jim. Ten had seen Callie from afar ever since magic school, and often wondered about her. She felt a strong connection to Callie and Echochime, possibly because her area of study had to do with temporal causality and time dilation. Whatever the case, Ten has felt like Callie was the only one that she could lean on as she got to know the ever-growing family she has become a part of.
Princess Kindradell of the Mermaid Tribe: Being a natural-born mermaid and fellow royal, Kindra is the one being in the Multiverse who can see the true beauty of Callie outside of family. The first time they met was when Callie was sent to find the Princess to help investigate what happened to Felipe Elechad — Kindra’s true love — after she left. Callie thought that the compliment that Kindra paid was meant for the dolphin guide who helped her find Mertropolis, but was humbled and flattered at Kindra’s kind words. Kindra’s cousin, Grand Princess Nespa offered Callie safe haven in Mertropolis, citing that they had found slvskorn fae who had similar oceanic characteristics and were taunted and tormented for it. Callie and Rini misconstrued this at first as being forever divided from their family, but decided that it was the best place for a retreat or pilgrimage every now and then, but the real reason is listed next.
Prince Hightide: An adolescent merman, the son of Princess Nespa is a 15 year-old underwater athlete with a heart of gold. When Callie first laid eyes on him, she was blushing and unable to speak. With encouragement from Princesses Nespa and Kindra, and Serena, Callie was able to swim after him and introduce herself at the coral park. At first, she tried to expand herself to human-size, but her emotions kept this from being prolonged past introductions. Rather than stay to explain herself, Callie tried to flee, but Hightide pleaded with her to stay and at least talk. They both swam around the track and talked for hours, far past sunset. By the time Nespa’s bodyguards found them and returned them to the palace, the two merteens were now an experimental couple, double-dating with Sunrise and her new boyfriend Lemon-Spritz.
Petalia and Gloria: When Spencer and Mina engaged in their Combination Ceremony, Callie came face to face with the Magtis flower that Echochime had psiconned her about; the one that reminded Echochime of her. Like Serena and Echochime, Petalia was able to see the hidden face that Callie possessed — the one Callie was ashamed of — and it was met with nothing but affection, as Petalia had been friends with many different Neverbeings of shape of description, but this would not come to light until much later. Upon seeing the comely floral duo, Callie, then and there, cultivated a deep loyalty crush for both Petalia and her new sister Gloria, and their friendship bloomed all the more when Petalia and Gloria were both given a permanent home with Sonya and Stavros in Petra’s Neverzone. Both Mina and Echochime said it best when they pointed out that Callie and Petalia were so much alike, despite their different species as fae and flower.
Ruby Jones: Serena’s best friend from Jefferson City, though not directly related to them, had heard countless stories from Serena about her oceanic slvskorte daughter, and was entranced by them. The first time she “indirectly” saw Callie, was on Serena’s first day of school, when Rini got into a fight against a bunch of girl bullies. Callie and Echochime had boosted their size, and the latter held Callie on her shoulders, pretending to be one human girl. Callie would sporadically make visits to Earth, and was always greeted with a special Ruby hug when she would sleep over at Rini’s. Ruby was the only friend, apart from Callie, that Serena ever had, or wanted, while in Jefferson City, and Ruby proved that she was worthy of that title not only to Serena and Spencer, but to Callie and Echochime, both.
