Half-owner of the popular Remington restaurant, Kafe Soucie; Molly gives a smile and the promise of a good time whenever someone comes in and puruses the menu. However, the “Pan Knight puns” she habitually drops to her Jones clientele, shows that there is much more to her than meets the eye. One of Esther Jones’s best freinds from RHS, Molly Jensen has been an invaluable source of strength for their group and beyond. Molly is special in another way; she is 16 years older than she should be, since she was born while they were in high school. Confused? Read below.

High School BFFs and the Wager

During the latter years of Esther Jones’ tenure as a student at RHS, her best friends were a small group, one of which included Molly. From the time that Esther opened herself up to Molly, Esther did not realize how important they were to the other. When Jillian had declared her love for Esther, only to discover her sight was deteriorating, Molly was the one who Esther had sought guidance from, even before her brother and sister (an extreme rarity). Their other friends Leslie Anderson, Snapper, and Claire Boyer all were silently supported by Molly’s presence. After graduation, Molly and Claire began a friendly wager that escalated into their career paths: the goal was to be the first to graduate from business school and by 50% of one of their favorite restaurants. Claire won the wager by buying up 51% of Space-Age Pizzaria, renaming it O’Hanlon’s in memory of the voice actor who played George Jetson, just a few days before Molly could complete her purchase of 53 percent of Sally’s Bar and Grille, changing it to Kafe Soucie after the voice actor who had just appeared on Real Ghostbusters as Janine. Molly lost, but she was not a bad sport, and neither was Claire, as their first get-together was a picnic at Nimoy Park with half the food coming from each restaurant. The bet was over, and a renaissance in culinary history began in Remington Springs.
The Letter
A longtime friend of Pan Knight Scion, Esther Jones; Molly always had a special connection to Esther, both of them were always reading the other’s minds, figuratively, and were always attached at the hip, like sisters. The most difficult times of Esther’s life seldom occurred without Molly being there for emotional support, knowing full well Esther’s orientation. One of the worst times in Esther’s life was right around the time Molly first met her; when Esther decided to “cure” herself of being gay by sleeping with longtime-admirer and friend Snapper Singleton. The experiment not only failed, but Esther was now pregnant with a child. Her feelings about being pregnant were mixed, but were not enough to make her want to abort the child, but at the same time was unable to be the mother this child deserved. Molly convinced Esther to talk about this with her family, and she would be there with her. It took a lot of prodding, but Esther finally told her parents and sister — waiting until she felt comfortable enough to share it with her brother. They all reacted in a way that Esther had not anticipated: they were proud and supportive of Esther’s choice to give the baby up for adoption to her mother’s foster family. After she gave birth, she named the child Kimber and gave her parents a letter that was addressed to the baby for when she became of age. The last step of the plan was for Maddie’s uncle, Silver Dart, to erase all memory of Esther’s being pregnant and parts of the experiment with Snapper.
Flash forward 18 years later, Molly befriended a girl whom she believed to be Nicole’s twin sister, Lexi. All of Team Panfan knew that Molly was aware of Esther’s status as a Pan Knight, but the fact that Molly kept dropping hints about it just made her more susceptible to accidental psicon emission. Lexi picked up on these secrets with the help of her time-prayer amulet, and decided to reveal this to Molly, out of respect. Molly was suspicious at first, but Lexi had learned that Esther was Molly’s mother; that Molly was a Jones as well. Molly confirmed this, and Jillian gave Lexi a letter to give to Molly — the same letter that Esther wrote while pregnant with Kimber.
Reunion with her lost piece:
Not long after Molly read Esther’s letter, she revealed to everyone in the family, with the help of eavesdropping, good-intentioned kid sister Nicole, that Molly was Esther’s daughter. Esther’s friendship with Molly intensified upon realizing how far her own child went to be a part of her life, and that Esther’s actions did not need forgiveness. However, it was not long until Molly brought up the one question she pondered ever since she was little: Who was her slvskorte? Esther, ordinarily, would have been able to detect Molly’s giggle child, but there was no traceable link without intervention from the Neverlords. After the name was uncovered, Esther strongly advised Molly to let it go; she knew who this mystery fae was: Phoenixia, the instigator who targeted Callie for her bullying. Molly, however, believed that there was more to this snarky and introverted soul than was visible to the eye. With Nicole, Xammy, and Esther’s help, Molly was able to have an audience with Phoenixia (At the insistence of Queen Aurora).
Phoenixia wanted nothing to do with Molly, even knowing that she was allegedly her mother; a fact she had embraced prior to the last few days. Nixie pushed Molly away, flat out accusing her of purposely poisoning her with disbelief in magic and fae, having only survived by the skin of her teeth. Molly and Phoenixia’s separation when they were little was actually brought about by the rare pixian affliction Detachment. Toxic, self-hating emotions that escaped Esther’s deepest recesses while pregnant with Snapper’s child was attributed to the collapse of their bond; but Nixie wanted nothing to do with the Jones family, dismissing the “convenient” explanation that Molly’s complicity in Phoenixia’s near-death state all those years ago as lies. The more Molly tried, the harder Nixie fought back, until finally, she screamed that she did not believe in Molly and that she hated her. The pain that Nixie felt in her sides was reflective of Molly’s pain, and realized she made her worst mistake ever.
As twilight waned, Phoenixia panicked from what she had done. She screamed up to the sky that she took it all back, that she believed in Molly — and loved her. It didn’t work. Molly laid on the ground as her fever spiked and Neskomf poison was building up in her cells. Nixie realized that Molly’s sisters had to have foreseen this possibility and must have had a contingency plan; but Molly’s psichannels were open as Phoenixia’s tirades hit her ears — inflicting the same poison as Molly’s to Nicole and Kiki. Molly begged Phoenixia to not leave her side, as it would have taken her too long to get the serum from the Nevertribe’s village. Nixie felt helpless and terrified as each second ticked by. She pleaded with Molly for her forgiveness, and that it should have been herself lying there dying instead of Molly. That’s when her wings began to glow.

It was the serum that Nicole had discovered in Kiki, months prior. There was still hope to save Molly, but it was trapped within Phoenixia’s wings unless there was a way to siphon it out. Phoenixia frantically searched the area for something that could incise her wings; but the first-aid kit that Esther had brought had fallen over the nearby cliff. Molly’s pocket contained a switchblade knife, and Nixie did not hesitate to pull it out, begging Molly to hold the blade up in her hands. Molly knew what Nixie had in mind, and begged her to not go through with it, only for Nixie to say, “Sorry, mama; but if it comes down to either me and you,” she picked up a stone and hovered into the air, “I choose you!” She then threw her weight into her fall into the blade, severing her wings completely off. With Xammy’s help, Molly was able to drink down the serum, but as she recovered, Nixie was about to bleed to death. Xammy and Molly were able to contact Esther and Pansport Phoenixia to the Neverscape Palace, keeping the dying fae in a null-time stasis field. All the pixian fae who were there for Natasha and Cinna’s engagement party donated tissues from their own wings so that Princess Andelite could craft a prosthetic set of wings to integrate into Pheonixia. The next morning, Phoenixia recovered from the surgery, and declared her love for her mother and their extended family, rechristening herself as Sunrise Jensen. For the time being, Sunrise was given safe haven with their aunt Delania in the Palace.
The pre-time-jumping Molly’s whereabouts:
Due to an encounter with Alexandriella Jonescart in the near future, teenaged Kimber Jones would learn about a predestination paradox that Lexi could sense, leading to the creation of a prototype version of her Time Prayer amulet, in ring from, by Nillavan, Lexi’s slv sister. This paradox was prompted by an unspeakably fervent desire to know her biological mother, Esther. But this path would make current Kimber vanish back to the 1980s/early 90s, where she would enroll in RHS as a student (Her living arrangements and those that knew of her arrival are unknown).
Relationships
Esther and Jillian: When Molly first enrolled at RHS in the 1980s (sliding timeline) she took an instant shine to Esther and her crew. Throughout their friendship, Esther and Molly were able to share secrets with one another that they could not even trust with their other friends. But each was keeping a secret from the other; Esther had sensed the soulprint of Molly in her baby that she was carrying for her first trimester on earth and the other two trimesters while on Neverland Prime before she gave birth and her memory was erased. The secret Molly kept was the inverse; that Esther was her mother, and their friend Snapper was her father. Molly was there to witness Esther and Jillian’s romance bloom, and it was their trust in Molly’s support that allowed them to brave through the rampant homophobia that RHS students and teachers had at the time.
Nicole: While all of her Jones family are special and sacred to her, Molly understandably has a softer side than usual for her little half-sister. Nicole always felt a sort of pull to Molly throughout the years, and would always look forward to seeing her favorite hostess at the Kafe. Nicole’s intervention has helped Molly in two separate ways: giving her the courage to reveal her true connection to their mother, and helping to heal Phoenixia’s wings and welcoming her into the family. Interestingly, she is biologically twice Nicole’s age, but she was born only a year prior to Nicole and their cousins. Nicole’s relationship with Molly is different from Ariella and Bella’s bond with her, as Molly is technically as old as Esther, making her 8 years Bella’s senior. One could make the argument that Nicole feels a kind of hero worship that she shares with her other sisters towards Molly, which only amplifies Nicole’s love for her.
Xammy: In a rare exception to the rules of the Neverscape, Xamantha Rose has always been by Molly’s side, in secret. From the time she was given up for adoption to the Jennings family, Molly was watched from afar by Xammy. At first it was only to see that everything about the Jennings’ home and family were a good fit for her human sister, but the revelation of Molly’s Pan Powers manifesting from the time she was half a year old was enough to warrent Queen Aurora’s blessing to keep watch on Molly; especially since there was not a detectable biotag that connected to Molly’s slvskorte. Xammy has served as Molly’s mentor and confidante, having broken protocol by revealing that they are actaully sisters. This would later come to be an important factor in keeping the timestream’s equillibrium. Xammy and Molly have always been extraordinarily close as best friends.
Ariella and Bella: Molly met her cousins when they were just kids; Bella, age 8; Ariella, age 4. She was not as interactive with the kids as Esther was, seeing as how she was technically “not related” to them. When they grew older, Molly was a tutorial figure in their lives; mentor, camp counselor, and friend. The dynamic of their relationship changed when Molly and Claire each took part ownership in restaurants in Central Remington. These two places would become Bella’s go-to date spots with Derrick, and some of Ariella’s faux dates. Deep in their hearts, subconsciously, they felt a kind of kinship with Molly that they could not explain. From Molly’s point of view, she envied her two cousins, as all three of them shared the same half-sister; but has never let it cloud their bond of friendship. Bella and Ariella have always looked up to Molly the same way that they did Esther, which led to Molly being coined the hug vending-machine.
Snapper: Quite the opposite dynamic with Molly did Snapper have, in comparison to Esther. Being androgynous, there were often times when he was mistaken for a girl by guys, often leading them to flirt with him; until they learned the truth. Molly noticed that this affected Snapper in a unique way. He was anamoured by the attention he had gotten from some of the guys; a part of himself he was terrified of. Molly always offered her shoulder to him, in part because he was her father, and in part because his growing pains were atypical in contrast with most. Snapper admitted that he was still in love with Esther, but was starting to feel the urge to branch out. Molly had a few of her own friends who were in the know about down-low guys, and helped set up blind dates for Snapper, without him finding out who set them up. One of those guys was the younger brother of the man that Snapper would eventually marry, Cliff.
Claire Boyer: Molly was more of a sports watcher than an athlete, so it was rare for Molly to ever miss one of the RHS volleyball games. To give encouragment to where it was needed most, Molly helped Claire overcome her pangs of jealousy that she felt towards Esther and Jillian; that their victories were her victories as well, and that they were not possible without her. Jillian and her mother dominated the front lines, but Esther and Jillian were never secretive to Molly about how they only felt as confident as they did with having such reliable teammates; especially Claire. What was once a bitter rivalry on the court was nipped in the bud, so as not to taint their friendship. Claire has never let Molly forget how her sagely wisdom saved her from losing her best friends (which was more of a fear than a possibility). Their own competition to see how could graduate with a degree in restaurant management and buying up 51 percent of a restaurant and reopening it was a close call, with Claire winning by a slim margin. There has been talks of Kafe Soucie and O’Hanlon’s forming a partnership with AbGen; but this is only speculation at the moment.
Maddie: One of the few who has maintained a relationship with Molly was Esther’s mother — her grandmother Princess Maddie. As a fellow adoptee of the Jennings family, it was Maddie who arranged for her foster cousins to adopt the child once known as Kimber. It broke Maddie’s heart to see Esther lose the memories of her baby growing within her and giving her up for adoption. At first, it was only though Xammy that Maddie would learn more about her far flung granddaughter, but she formed a friendship with Molly when she was just a toddler, while at the same time was friendly with her grown counterpart. This was because Maddie could also sense the same soul print in Molly that Esther felt. To protect the timestream, Maddie never let on to Molly that she knew that she was Kimber, but the way that grown-Molly would look at her, they each reached the same conclusion on their own. Now that the embargos have been lifted, Molly has spent her time tending to her slvskorte by crashing with their aunt Delania in Palace Faye Sol, all four of them starting a new ritual of a Sunday tea.
Phoenixia (AKA Sunrise): Knowing Xammy for as long as she did, Molly had tried to learn about her own giggle child. It was Molly’s most fervant wish that she could form the same kind of friendship with her fae offspring that Xammy had with their mother. It wasn’t until 20XX+1 that Molly would confront Esther with that question; as she was the Scion of Pan (Mentor). Esther’s powers were unable to make the connectoin; which was extremely unusal, as part of Esther’s duties and abilities were that she could find the slvskorte of her charges. With some outside help, Esther would help Molly find her slvskorte; but it was the bitterest of revelations; as the Jones Family had horrible dealings with this particular fae in the past: Phoenixia.
Not wanting to accept that there was nothing but hatred and evil in Nixie’s heart, Molly begged the Neverscape Lords to arrange for her to introduce herself to Phoenixia; and she would get her chance on the night that her fae cousin Natasha Jonescart and her combinoft-to-be were celebrating their engagement at the Palace. The embittered Phoenixia hated humans, and the fae who loved their giggle parents. Nixia belived that the malady she suffered in her first stage of life was due to Neskomf poisoning; and that only her hatred for humans kept her from dying. Molly swore that she never lost her faith in fae, and wanted to be Phoenixia’s mother all her life. From Molly being Neskomfed by Phoenixia, to a guilt-ridden Nixia slicing off her own wings to give Molly the cure she needed, their bond was started on two near-death experiences, but the night ended with Phoenixia declaring her love for her mother, and her name being changed to Sunrise Jensen. Sunrise’s personality changed practically overnight; it was due to Molly reading her mother’s letter in the weeks preceeding this. Sunrise wanted to be a better fae; to be worthy of Molly’s love; but was convinced that she was forever destined to be cast in the shadows for who she once was. For as long as it takes, Molly has been given residence in the palace in the Neverscape so as to bond with Sunrise. Each day that goes by, their bond as mother and daughter has rapidly accelerated, and a new chapter in their lives has been written.
Jamie Singleton: Molly has wanted to reach out to her paternal half-brother; but there has been no way that Molly could reveal who she is to her baby brother without raising some awkward questions from both Ryan and Cliff. The fact that Jamie’s slvskorte son Percusshawn is still alive, means that Jamie is a believer in magic. Thinking outside of the box, Molly has reached out to Ryan’s audio tech firm, offering her restaruant’s catering services to her old friend, and offering special discounts for family functions; under the guise of it being administered by the RHS Alumni Association and the Prismed Banner Group. To a limited degree, it has worked. Jamie has met and had positive interactions with Kafe Soucie’s smiling hostess/part-owner. Esther has thought of revealing the truth of their one-night-stand, and who their high-school friend truly was, for the sake of Jamie; but so far, no plan that would be effective has been struck.
Rebecca: Molly’s aunt has brought her children to the Kafe many times, prior to her death. Kafe Soucie catered many of the Missouri Court Reporter’s Associations local branch’s social functions, and this gave Molly ample time to get to know the sister of her best friend. From the look on Rebecca’s face, she also was in the know of who Molly was. The night after the revelation that Esther was Nicole’s blood mother, Molly was summoned to the Star Polaris by Rebecca. It was during this secret visit that all cards were placed on the table; Rebecca had known that Molly is her neice, and Molly wanted more than anything to be more than an outsider looking on the rest of her family. Even knowing the restrictions that Molly had outside of her friendships with Xammy and Maddie, Rebecca begged Molly to be there for her little sister; even if it was only optically as a family friend. Molly gave her Aunt Becca her most solemn oath that she would watch out for Nicole, and intervene when necessary. In return, Molly was free to Pansport to Polaris whenever she wanted; as only she, at the time, had the kind of power that could bypass the barriers to Polaris prior to the rise of the Trinity of Pan.
Randy and Lindsey: Up until her visit to Polaris, her interaction with her uncle was minimal. The few times that the whole family was together under the Kafe’s roof, Randy was always a gentleman and made it a point to give his compliments and extra tips to Molly and her waitresses. Ironically, Randy’s late wife Lindsey was a lot closer to Molly than Randy was. As the exiled daughter of a twisted billionaire, Lindsey had much money to her name, which was given to her children, nieces, and nephews in separate trusts. Even after that; Lindsey still had plenty of money to her name, and wanted to invest in Kafe Soucie, even worked part time as a waitress and cook, wanting to find her way in the world. More than wanting independence from her family, Lindsey wanted to prove that she was capable of conquering her father’s shadow. Molly welcomed Lindsey’s interactions far more than she did the money; and helped Lindsey learn how to cook, how to operate a cash register, and how to interact with customers. While the job path did not last long, Lindsey’s friendship with Molly was everlasting. When she died of Lupus, a secret document was given to Molly, drafted prior to Lindsey’s passing. She had learned of Esther’s secret daughter, from an anonmyous source {Maddie}, and Lindsey’s lawyers carried out her will that assigned a portion of Lindsey’s investment portfoilo be sold off, liquidated, and put into a trust in Molly’s name, and also one for her half-brother Jamie. Money was the one thing that Lindsey’s family coveted more than anything, but she, herself, coveted family more than anything; including Molly. Every April 28th, Lindsey’s birthday, Molly makes a special trip to Welkerblanc Cemetery, and visits her grave, and lays her favorite flowers on same: Tiger Lilies.
