To understand Princess Maddie, mother of Rebecca, Randy, and Esther Jones, it must be put in perspective that Maddie is a multiracial, multi-species fae human hybrid, the first of her kind. Although she has her mother’s pale skin tone, Maddie is a full-fledged, embraced member of the Nevertribe of Neverland Prime; well-versed in the Heritage Journals and the Nevertomes, a keeper of the Nevertribe’s traditions (with a gap in her life where she lived as a normal human, but more on that later) and the apple of her elder half-sister, Tiger Lily’s eye. ‘
Appearance:
In contrast to the paternal side of her heritage, Maddie is a Caucasian fae princess with genuine wings and pointed ears. Her eyes sparkle in a bright and luminescent blue, and her cheeks have the telltale Jones family Tic Marks that were inherited from her maternal family. A unique characteristic is that, despite her human and fae qualities seamlessly knit in perfect unison, her head does not grow hair, but a long-lasting series of leaves and microbranches, which also yield a special type of Neverberries. While Queen Titania, her ancestor, grows tree-like horns from her head in certain phases of her life, Maddie is the only known fae to have this special trait, which may explain in part why she wanted to pursue a living in nursing. When cirumcstances require her to appear on Earth, she takes on a younger counterpart of her human form, relying on the fact that those that knew her when she was that age are long gone.
Personality
Because she was born out of love between two completely different individuals, Maddie seems to generate love wherever she goes, this being the case when she was born. After their mother (adoptive, to Tiger Lily) gave birth to her, pulsars and stellar bodies lit up from her birth, representing the spirits of the two separate worlds that were enjoined via Aurora’s marriage to Chief Sol. The one who seemed to be most affected by this was Tiger Lily herself. After her maternal half-brother tried to murder her and seize control of Neverland Prime, Tiger Lily was not looking forward to the possible dark future having another sibling would bring, but the very exact instant Tiger Lily held her little half-sister in her arms, she fell in love — both as a sister and a surrogate mother figure. Her family’s love for her fostered the same feelings in Maddie, which never could be extinguished, no matter how dark things got.
Maddie is a quiet, reserved, and well-learned woman who, despite being 200 Earth years old (partially in Never Time), she is still a young woman compared to her mother and other ancestors. Maddie was always devout to her studies, to love, and to her adoptive family’s religion, Judaism, so much so that she instilled it in her married life, convincing her husband to convert and raise their children as such. Maddie’s smile will often adorn her face, but even when she is upset, scared, or worried, her heart still smiles when her face doesn’t. Much of Maddie’s personality is a reflection of her first laugh, Argent. (Below)

History:
The second born child of Nevertribe Chief, Prince Dajanoten Sol, and first with his second wife, Queen Auroralania Fae, a fairy princess from the Zetascape, Maddie was loved the very instant she was held in her parents’ arms. Because of an unexpected illness from after giving birth, Aurora was unable to breastfeed her firstborn child, prompting her adoptive daughter to volunteer to undergo magical treatments to give breastmilk, making her Maddie’s wet-nurse for the first few months. Tiger Lily bonded with the infant, and Maddie felt safe and loved as if it was Aurora.

As she grew into a big girl, Maddie showed a strong intelligence at a young age, allowing her to interact with grownups in a way that she couldn’t with other kids of the Nevertribe or the Lost Boys. Maddie was inseparable from her big sister and cousin Tonja (her uncle Silver Dart’s teen daughter). She and Tiger Lily did everything together, the age gap and the fact that she was only half human and a completely different skin color, never mattered to Tiger Lily. The two sisters fostered the strongest of loyalty crushes for the other, but there were times when Tige was overprotective past certain points. There were times when Maddie was picked on by the other kids, and when Maddie was shoved to the ground by another girl in her age bracket, Tiger Lily went ballistic, lifting the transgressor by the collar and slamming her against a tree in rage. Maddie, ironically, was the one who begged her to stop, seeing how scared her peer was. The girl was, in fact, the little sister of one of Chief Sol’s most trusted warriors, Blackbirdwing. Even to this day, Blackbird has never forgotten, nor forgiven Tige for it. This taught Tiger Lily that the punishment has to fit the crime, and Maddie learned that her bond with Tiger Lily was that deep that she was willing to do anything to protect her. This would come to play, in the worst way, further down the line.
Life in Neverland Prime
As a little girl, Princess Maddie was groomed for her duties as a princess of both the Pixie Nation and the Nevertribe, and most of the time was a conscientious student. She would, however, try to find reasons to blow off her lessons on a few minute occasions. Despite being surrounded by kids her own age in the Nevertribe, Maddie always took part in adventures with her big sister, their cousin Tonja, and Peter and the Lost Boys. The latter was always extra special for her because of the special friend that she and Tiger Lily shared with their mother, Peter’s slvskorte, Solin Fyre. There were very few in Neverland Prime that would ever turn away from time with the little hybrid princess, especially not Tiger Lily, Sly, and Solin. Even though she had her fae wings, she seldom used them unless it was life or death.
Pivotal Perils
All of Neverland was buzzing with positivity when it was revealed that a new slvskorte would be born on that day, and was projected to be born in Neverland Prime, for rarely did this ever occur outside of the Zetarealm. The day was September 19th of 1837, a date that would forever be synonymous both with miracles and catastrophes. The newborn slv (who was given the name “Tinker Bell” by the ethereal plane) was struck with a grave illness that not been seen for millennia, “Detachment”. A dark energy from a strange ship had pierced the barrier to Neverland Prime, and had, in the process, cut off TinkerBell from her giggle parent, her source of sustenance and life.
While the newborn fay was brought to the palace on the Nevercliffs for Queen Aurora to care for, Peter and Solin were summoned to the palace. Solin realized right away what her best friend was going to ask her; something that was considered taboo in slv circles, but not with Solin. The only way for TinkerBell to stay alive was to instill a new slvsinoft for Tink to be bonded to. Solin, if she were any other slvskorn fay at the time, would have flat out refused, but she was smitten with the baby fay enough to volunteer her father, Peter Pan, before he could. Maddie kept Tink safe in a stasis fayshield while they searched for Prince Silverdart to invoke the rites. While in the interior of the island, the threesome stumbled across an unconscious young man with a yellow star patch on his garment. Peter’s first instinct was to slay him, thinking that he was a pirate, but Solin intervened, realizing this was the man she had dreamt of for years — her true love.
In the course of that horrible day, the only miracle was Tink’s link to Peter being activated. Solin and the young man were killed when the pirate leader Huek invaded. Solin was impaled by his signature hook weapon while trying to keep him away from the Lost Boys that were trying to escape the Neverbeach,, and as a result, the young man’s spirit was traumatized by losing his destined soulmate by such brutality, he literally froze his heart to death despite being in normal physical health. Maddie was devastated, but still defended the Lost Boys who inadvertently allowed the pirate to take hostages and setting Solin’s death in motion. Peter was ready to slay his 5th in command, Rufio, for Solin’s death, but thanks to Maddie’s magic, she and Tiger Lily were able to dull their memories of that horrible day, at least for a while.
When Maddie was a pre-teen, a new evil had filled the vacuum that Solin’s killer left behind when it was rumored he too was slain. Two pirates of the new faction held Dajanoten and Silver Dart at gunpoint, seeking the magical potion of love that Aurora had gifted to him all those centuries ago. This would prove to be the end for the two pirates (as they were burned to death just by touching it, the result of which, a powerful wormhole to the Great Myriad, had been created, and the knowledge of the various other Neverzones that Dajanoten had a faint glimpse of from the etheraeal plane had become crystal clear, and also the new threats that this new faction had posed: The two that threatened the Nevertribe Lords had been looking for Princess Maddie on behalf of their new overlord.
Realizing that her only protection was anonymity, the biologically-12-year-old fay princess was to be spirited away to Earth. In the short time that was anticipated the pirates would regroup, Maddie was forced to undergo magical-suppression treatments that would weaken her magical powers, take away her wings, turn her hair normal, and appear to age like a normal human. As this was going on, Aurora had scoured Earth (roughly the 1950s) searching for an adoptive family that was both in need of a child, and who believed in magic. After 2 weeks of undergoing the treatments, Maddie was forced to bid a tearful goodbye to the only home she ever knew, and to the parents and big sister she loved so much. When they couldn’t sense Maddie with their best amplification powers, they knew she would be safe.
Life and love, as a human:

The couple that took Maddie in, Patrick and Agatha Jennings, were an elderly couple who had wanted children of their own for decades. Maddie was apprehensive at first, but was willing to give the Jennings a chance. Their weekly Sabbath at Temple reminded her of the Nevertribe’s holy days with the Heritage Journal readings, and the beliefs in love and faith that Judaism taught, prompted Maddie to want to convert and be Bat Mitzvahed. To Aggie and Pat’s surprise, their new daughter picked up Hebrew pretty quickly, and was given a Bat Mitzvah that same year.
Maddie always found her self looking up at the stars every night, wishing on them and praying to them, hoping that her sister could hear her. One day, while at the library, she saw that there were books on Peter Pan, and that there were media created around the concept Sir Barrie created. She did not know how he was able to know what he did, or why parts of it were missing, but she became obsessed with the stories, but was highly critical of the racist depiction of her father, sister, and tribesmen, but she kept this to herself.
College and the Professor
In the 1960s, Maddie grew involved with the hippie movement, and was an avid protestor against the Vietnam War, having been affected by war, herself. She went to college for a career in nursing, also focusing on myths and folklore. It was when she took a class on the paranomal and occult, she met Professor Samuel St. Jones (an alias he used to distance himself from his infamous family) who went by the nickname “Sharptop”. Maddie was his best student; she hung on his every word, and found excuses to stay after and study with him. Maddie felt it right away, the same way that Solin did about her true love, that she was in love with Professor Jones (who dropped the “St.” part of his name, that year). The last day of class, Maddie was about to ask her professor on a date, but Sharptop asked her first. Thus, a whirlwind courtship took place. Maddie was proposed to by Sam, and she accepted; which opened the door to a possible wrinkle in their plans.

To be sure he was the one, she gave him a litmus test, shedding her protection spell just enough to morph back into her true form, she begged Sam to believe in fairies and magic. He was not a hard sell, he was in love with her and he believed. A couple years into their marriage, they conceived a daughter, Rebecca Kaye Veronica Jones, whose first laugh gave birth to a fae male named Starblaze. When Rebecca was 5, she started to exhibit strong empathic powers; she knew when people were sad, and did everything she could to cheer them up. She was able to sense if someone was truthful or lying. This shook Maddie up a little, but it was a welcome comfort. Their son Randy would follow that same year. Sam feared that the two siblings would be rivals against one another, but Rebecca glommed onto Randy immediately after he was born. Ten or 11 years following this, little Esther would be given that same welcome.

When Esther was 8, Rebecca and her husband, Robert, gave birth to little Bella, giving Esther, in essence, a sister of her own, in the form of a niece. Events took a drastic turn when Sam’s brother, Walter, was paroled after 20 years in prison, and stayed with Sam’s family. Maddie was not happy at all with this, and she made sure that he was watched. Her suspicions were proven right when young Esther was caught kissing a black girl from her grade. The racist and bigoted Blowtop chased the girl out of the home, then went back upstairs in a white-hot rage, strangling and trying to kill Esther, his own niece, for being, what he called, a callous deviant. He did not relent when she begged for her life and cried in fear. That’s when Maddie used her powers, covertly, to summon Rebecca and Sam to Esther’s room.
Blowtop was exiled from the house and the family, but the damage was done. Esther became suicidal, and had to be put under watch at St. Vincent’s Mental Hospital, over 100 miles away. Maddie tried everything to reach out to her magical parents, begging them to help her daughter. It was at this time that the door had finally reopened, and Maddie was able to psicon her mother, Queen Aurora, in the Neverscape. It was through them that Esther was given her ascension as the first official Knight of Pan. This boosted Esther’s spirit back up to its peak, but then, on her first flight, she was nearly Neskomf-poisoned to death, only to be rescued by her slvskorte, Xamantha Rose Jones. Xammy and Sam were granted passage to Neverland Prime, where Esther was nursed back to health (dulling any residual memories of ever being there)
A few years passed, and Sam’s niece, Angelica, appeared to have a change of heart from being a killer out for revenge against the police, to a genuinely sorry and reformed person. Sam was livid. He was not about to let the libelous vixen into his home the way he did with Blowtop. Maddie was the one who would invite the stranger into their home, welcoming her and giving her a place to stay. It was from this act of devotion that Angelica came to love Maddie like a mother, and grew especially close with her kid cousin, Esther.
Not long before Sam would die, Maddie’s time on Earth as a human was up as well. Against the wishes of her own heart, Maddie’s earthly form was shed and a doppelclone spell was used by Queen Aurora to place in her casket while Maddie returned to the Neverscape in her fae form. Faced with the prospect that she could lose Sam forever, she began experimenting with the doppelspell, adapting it to work on humans with the help of the magic of the star Polaris. The night of Sam’s death, his soul was plucked and put in a homunculus vessal that resembled his younger self, with the caveat that he was unable to leave Polaris, but meant that he and Maddie would be together again.
Compounding Losses:
Maddie’s return to the Neverscape was bittersweet for the fact that she had to say goodbye to the life and family she had on Earth, while at the same time being reunited with her mother and her cousin Delania, the palace cook. Per Neverscapian Protocol, Maddie was not yet able to return to Neverland Prime for at least three Nevercycles, all the while she watched as her family began to plunge into greater tragedy. Bella’s boyfriend, Derrick Green, was killed in a terrorist attack on his school while trying to keep the shooter at bay so the other students could get away. With help from Sam and her Uncle Silver Dart, Derrick’s soul was also extracted and given a new homunculus body and was named Professor Sam’s protege in Polarisian magical science. Later that same year, a kamakaze attack in the form a vehicular explosion claimed Rebecca’s life and nearly destroyed Bella, only for her to be brought to AbGen in a coma. Having perfected the process, Sam and Derrick were able to extract Rebecca’s soul the very second before the flashpoint of the explosion killed her. While mourning their mother’s loss, Ariella was so grief-stricken, she involuntarily lapsed into a comatose state while at Rebecca’s shiva.
Maddie had witnessed the toll all the tragedies had on Esther, and arranged a special visit to Polaris while she slept. Maddie and Becca were initially rebuffed in confusion by the grieving Esther, but it was dispelled by Becca’s hug. Maddie helped comfort her daughter by summoning the one person she had missed the most, to Polaris, her half-sister Princess Tiger Lily. All this was a shock to Esther, but she agreed to step up when the time came to reveal the truth about herself to Nicole, her biodaughter.
After Bella and Ariella awoke from their year-long comas, Maddie’s son Randy was dying of cancer, and not long after he was safely transitioned to Polaris the same way Rebecca and Sam were, the now-orphaned Spencer and Serena were given two special gifts: the first being early contact with their slvskortes, Echochime and Calypsana; and two, to travel to the Neverscape and be introduced to Aurora and witness that Maddie was alive. They were sworn to secrecy about both of these events, even to their cousins.
Rise of the Trinity:
Seven years after the death of Randy, all embargos that the Neverlords had on their family were lifted when both Bella and Nicole were Ascended as Pan Knights, forming the fabled Trinity of Pan, guardians of the Great Myriad and Earth. Following the demise of Petra Pan’s Huek, Mina and her brother were adopted by Aurora due to their connection to that dimension’s Dajanoten Sol, giving Maddie a new brother and sister to cherish. It did not take long for the Elechad twins to warm up to her and the prime version of Tiger Lily.
In the formation of the rest of Team Panfan, Maddie has taken a statesman role as far as her duties to the Neverscape and the affiliated Neverzones along the Myriad. There have been times where Maddie has had to have crossed moral lines, like when she returned to Earth, posing as an AbGen nurse to call the “time of death” of Nicole in order to lure her attempted murderer out of hiding while keeping her safely confined in a nulltime stasis shield in the morgue. It mattered very little, as her assassin was able to see through the deception and make off with the time-frozen Nicole to a secret location, an exponentially larger Neverzone which was ruled by a man claiming to be the son of Mordred La Fey of Arthurian lore. The assassin was his programmed servant, Siobhan Elechad, the first child of Sonya Elechad and Stavros Oz.
Under the looming threat of an interdimensional cataclysm brought about by the detonation of a miles-long cavern of Neksomf crystals that would destroy all magic-sensitive beings, Maddie and Aurora evacuated the entirety of the palace staff and all the slvskorn fae to special bunkers beneath the surface of the Neverscape, including a refugee child with a cleft palate, named Tico Gomez, whom Tiger Lily had taken a shine to. While Aurora dealt with the crisis in the Rogue Neverzone, Maddie and Tige kept a watchful eye on their young charge while finding time to bond with each other again, even amidst the possible faypocolypse.
Mordred’s ambitions were thwarted with the help of the Trinity, Aurora, Petra, and a now-ascended ARC-class Pan Knight Siobhan. In deenergizing the Neskomf crystals, souls of the final battle of Tintagel were freed, including Maddie’s ancestor Oberon Prime, who had revealed that the son of Mordred was actually Mordred in the body of his son Othello, whom he killed after the body swap. Maddie sat on the panel that determined Mordred’s punishment and looked on with pride as her adoptive sister and the latter’s half-sister Siobhan put an end to Mordred’s life in a manner befitting him.
Return of Solin and New Family:
Prior to the Mordred incident, Aurora and Maddie had the grim responisbility of revealing to the Trinity that Maddie’s wish all those years ago was granted: Solin was reborn as one of the three Trinidads. Aurora had presented the three with a crystal box containing the crystalized wings of Solin herself. While they were happy that Solin was reborn, they knew that it would be a traumatizing prospect to whomever it was. The box was opened, a blinding light flooded the palace, and the wings were absorbed in to the body of none other than Ariella. For a minute, Ariella started to talk in a high, raspy voice and flittered all over the throne room, craving Neverberries, the favorite food of Solin. When Ariella realized what happened, she was devastated until a very pregnant Mina told her who Solin truly was accroding to the Nevertribe’s teachings. It was through ARiella’s help that they got Mina to AbGen in time to deliver her baby, a little girl named Trinity.
In the time that followed, Maddie watched Ariella’s demeanor about being Solin turn 180 degrees, not only embracing the fact that Solin was a part of her, but wanting more than anything to be able to speak to her; to befriend her. They felt that the time had come for Jesse to learn about his involvment in the story of Solin Fyre; that he was Giles Morgenstern, a youth that little Maddie had come across while out with Peter and Solin to find Prince Silver Dart. Maddie and Aurora revealed that the two of them, Ariella and Jess, were in love when they were their past selves, and that Maddie’s wish was part of why they had come back to life through their bloodlines. Thanks to magics granted by Andelite, their aunt; and Starblaze, Becca’s slvskorn son, Solin was now able to exist outside of Ariella’s body, while still bound to her.
Dystopian Future:
400 years from the present, Maddie had assumed role as Neverscapian Queen after a greatly injured Aurora stepped down. The entirety of what remained of the Jones family had retreated to the Neverscape while war tore through Earth and the Great Myriad. It was with the help of Esther, Nicole, and Twi Lan that they constructed the means for Ariella’s daughter Lexi to travel to the past (prior to the ascension of Petra Pan) and keep from erasing herself from the timestream. When present-day Esther traveled to the future through Lexi’s mind, Maddie revealed to Esther that it was predestined for Lexi to come back, and she asked for Esther and the others to accept Lexi into the family; a measure that was unnecessary, seeing as how Lexi was immediately wrapped up in their love the minute they learned the truth. Maddie of this future prays for the timeline to change, but not at the expense of Lexi’s elder siblings Caleb and Shannon.
