Appearance
Echochime is a tiny pixian fay whose hair is short and forms pointy spikes, a nod to her prickly nature. Her garment of choice is a metallic blue dress with black shorts and socks, adorned by a green bow going across her torso. Oddly enough, she and her sister Callie do not possess the “Cat eye” trait the others do, although Echochime has tic marks and Callie has the Titiania’s Kiss mark. Her pixie-dust cloth bag always is worn around her waist and never goes anywhere without extra.
Egg-stra Special MeetCute
The week that Mina and Spencer had their combination ritual in the Petaliaverse Neverzone, Echochime and the former had a disturbing encounter with tainted honey, and the soul print of the Neverbeing who delivered it was on Echochime’s A1 priority list. With Callie’s help, they tracked the delivery boy to his stepfather’s warren, underground. After meeting Dane and his little sister, Whisper, Echochime was convinced that he had no forewarned knowledge of the honey he delivered being tainted. To make up for her aggressive attack on him, she offered to have a picnic with him. Sadly, the encounter took a turn when Echochime’s entrée choice was misunderstood as an attack on his species of weasel. Fortunately, Dainty and Ross saw that this pairing was too good to let crack apart, so Ross spoke with Echochime while Dane was counseled by Dainty. The next night found Dane and Echochime trying the picnic again, but with pizza as the entrée, and having company in the form of Dainty and Ross. Watching Ross fall madly in love with his combinoft all over again in her tomboy outfit, Echochime not only fell in love with Dane, but his family, too. The two lovebirds had their own combination ritual at Petalia’s farewell party. However, before she popped the question, memories of a lost love who she vowed to never love again after she died.

Personality
Echochime’s greatest virtue is also intermeshed with her greatest flaw, in that her anger is always short when those she cares about are threatened; none moreso than her little sister Callie (Serena’s slv), because of the nature of her being an unusual mermaid-fay hybrid with tentacles in place of arms. Echochime hardly makes friends outside of her family because she also has a great issue with trust, fearing that it could invite harm to Callie if she brings an outsider into the mix. While she may be rough around the edges, you will not find a Jones slv out there that doesn’t love Echochime 110%, because they know what is truly in her heart: the utmost loyalty.
Her relationship with her father, Spencer, is often like the other Jones-slv relations, but when Spencer does something she deems illogical and stupid, she is never afraid to call him out on it, possibly because he is the only Jones male apart from fully-human Hi-Top. She may be viper tongued when these instances occur, but she is always just as quick to shower affection on him in more instances than the former. By the time he got together with Mina, these sarcastic moments appeared to vanish entirely. Her sisterhood with both Callie and baby Trixie (and by extension, her niece Cherry Tart Elechad Jones) is a deeply-rooted devotion, same with Lyra, Gannon, and Cinna, although when she thought Cinna had betrayed the family, she was practically ready to kill her. You wanna hurt the Jones and Elechads? Well, do it at your own peril because Echochime Jones is a relentless defender, as her former rival Sunrise will tell you. And now that she is part of the Mousette family, woe be to he who harms a single hair on the family’s head.
History
From the moment of her birth via baby Spencer’s first laugh, Echochime was often a loner, keeping to herself early on. It wasn’t until her third year that she discovered that her fellow magic school student Nillavan was her cousin. But once that was made known to both, the two were inseparable. Misty always made it a point to include Echochime in their sisterly activities, and she in turn always found ways to make it more fun and hip. Her special ability was only discovered in happenstance while they were in their final year of study at Princess Maddie’s school, knowing by now that their teacher was their grandmother. Based on her practical skills scores, both Maddie and Queen Aurora encouraged their granddaughter to pursue secondary magic training, proving to possess powerful proficiency. It was about this time that Echochime learned that there was a new arrival in their faymunity, one who was already dubbed a pariah by others.
Enter Callie
The new arrival had left as quick as they arrived, taking refuge in the palace under the watchful eye of Queen Aurora and her palace cook, Princess Delania. Maddie had sent a summons for Echochime to come alone to the palace, but Nillavan and Misty insisted on coming with her. By the time they reached the castle, the new arrival was so ashamed that she locked herself in a room and refused to come out — ever. Aurora was frantic at this point, she conveyed to Echochime that the new fay was her slv cousin via her infant aunt Serena Jones. Echochime eagerly asked to meet this new fay, but Aurora laid it all on the line, that there was an abnormality about this fay. Echochime found a way in through the ventilation shafts into the room where the new arrival moped. On the bed was a tiny little fay with only a humanoid head and torso; the rest of her was mismatched.
Echochime sensed such a delicate and tender feeling from her new sister, that she knew that this was merely a perspective problem.
