Gannon was in another dimension when the Overlord James Huek invaded Belfast, so when he got the news that the Elechad and Hardt families were hit, he was too late. Nevertheless, he went to Earth, and was shattered when he saw the decimation that the Overlord’s forces created. There was no sign of his mother and grandparents, and the bodies of Sylvio and Elena Hardt were found among the dead. Any other fae would have died of a broken heart from what he saw, but Gannon was resolute. His unspoken bond with is slv mother was too strong to be broken. His search eventually took him to the Red Moon Neverzone, a place of perpetual night and eternal crimson darkness, where Siobhan was put up for auction. Gannon pleaded with the natives to help him find where his mother had been sent to, but the Red Moon NS was totally devoid of benevolence, and when they could not lead him to Siobhan, his deepest, darkest impulses exploded from within him, killing every inhabitant. Ironically enough, it was the shed blood of the populace that reopened the portal to Mordred’s domain. It has taken Gannon centuries to track down and reunite with his human mother.
Bordeaux France, 1567. A routine recon of the Balkans led Gannon to an unusal energy signature, one that shared the same soulprint as his mother Siobhan. Not having ever seen his mother, physically, Gannon could only rely on his faescan powers, which led him to a cobbler’s shop in the slums of Bordeaux. Gannon set up base in the eaves of the shop’s housing; keeping track of who came in and out of the shop. The longer he stayed, the stronger the energy signatures he sensed became. In the cold months that followed, Gannon noticed a couple coming from the other side of the wall — passing right through it. He knew this couple would be back, so he prepared for the opportunity, and flew in behind them when they returned.
What Gannon found on the other side was a giant library, with a gigantic spiral staircase spanning multiple floors. His first attempt to climb up led him through an infinite cycle of floors, with no end. Like with the cobbler shop, Gannon made camp on one of the highest bookshelves (70 feet above the ground) and observed; ultimately not having the same kind of luck as before. None of the people that quietly freqented this place looked familiar; coming or going. Unable to make heads or tails of anything, Gannon passed the time by reading the books that were in the shelves below; which was his first red flag — he could understand the languages that were within the hardbound coverings: French, Chinese, Icelandic, Nordic, Portugese, and others. The second red-flag was that he was never hungry; the months he was occupying this space, he never needed to reengergize. This would eventually work to his advantage, as he had arrested the attention of a young woman, clad in robes. He did not get a good look at her, but he sensed Siobhan’s soulprint.
